    New Avengers #23 was excellent.

So much of the past year has been time wasting repetitive do-nothing issues showing the same thing over and over. But this was different and amazing; even though there was not a single fight scene in it. I loved the fact that when the countdown started they just immediately gave up and decided to stop trying. I loved seeing all their vignettes of how they spend their final hours of their life. I love that the time ran out... and nothing happened. I love that Tony about to blow his brains out. And I especially love the reason why it didn't happen; totally shocked me I thought it was gonna be Strange. Awesome stuff.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Namor must have lied to those bad guys.

    "The Cabal".

Because all you have to do to save the universe, is destroy the Earth.

    No Earth = No incursion.

Meanwhile, on an omniversal scale they need to do is destroy all Earths, and maybe even destroy all Earths before any incursion cross their paths as a preventative measure, like how some women have double mastectomies to side step a genetic predilection for breast cancer... But, y'know, with planets.

No Earths omniversally = No incursions omniversally = Omniverse saved.

The only way Namor could talk them into saving the multiverse by destroying an infinite number of Earths which are threatening Infinity x Infinity Universes is if in that bargain he stipulated that his Earth, which no one in the Cabal gives a damn about, is destroyed last.

Which is a shit deal, considering the risk to the Cabal.

    Although...

If the 616 had no Earth to be a shit magnet for incursions, the Cabal would have to go out hunting the scavenging for Earths (no matter what, they still have to do this.) and Incursions to save the day which would be exhausting.

By leaving their own native Earth in play, it draws in the Earths of other Universes which Thanos (et all) can then destroy the earth rear-ending 616's earth and therefore save the universe this bushwhacker is sitting in from being destroyed alongside/along-with it's Earth.

I have no idea why Doctor Strange has not talked to Eternity about this ailment he has?

Maybe he just needs some aspirin?

Hawkeye vs. Deadpool #0 was fun. I can't wait to see where this book goes.

    Original Sin # 8 of 8

Was the old man at the end supposed to be Nick Fury? I couldn't really tell. I have to say this series ended up being a big disappointment. I don't like the idea of removing O.G. Nick Fury from the Marvel U in favor of his Sam Jackson lookalike. I love Nick Fury.

I thought "the Unseen" was the same thing as "The Man on the Wall"?

Not having read all of "Original Sin" yet there are two "Unseen" characters I recall. One being a Spacenkight, the other an alien race that was in an old issue of "Sub-Mariner".

Unam the Unseen was the Galadorian Spaceknight you're thinking of.

And having just gone digging in the Marvel Database to find that other species...their first - and only appearance thus far - was in 1954? Wow. Sounds like something for Agent Carter's writers to play with.

Yep, I think it's intended as a karmic punishment.

^I was collecting them until I had a nice stack to read, which I finally did after buying issue 9. I can see why it's so acclaimed. I'm in for the long-term.

So what's with the whole "the original writer" credit for the Miracleman issue being released on Comixology? I'm assuming Alan Moore is refusing to let them use his name.

I just read Death of Wolverine #1. The premise of this story just screams out as being horribly artificial. He lost his healing factor and he's in danger... so he goes off alone into the wilderness to be endlessly attacked? Why wouldn't he stay at the X-Mansion or Avengers Tower where he would be safely protected by dozens of superheroes?

I haven't gotten around to reading it yet, but that sounds like Logan, going out to be alone rather than staying where it's safe.
