So i pre-ordered already the books with a lot of fear for what it will happen. Now let's review the plots in "Protectors" and try to imagine what is waiting for us. Let's see who gets closer to the events , make your bets!

If the moderators think that this tread is too much or is not allowed please be free to delete it :)

    Where we left ?

    1. Janeway got back the Full Circle fleet but she is due to stay on Achilles .... XD of course she told Chakotay that this won't happen and they will see each other , things went cold when he lied to her about B'Elana .

    2. Seven finds herself trapped between Hugh ( My favorite ) and Axum ( boooo! why didn't he choose to stay with the caeliar??/) Plus she has to go back to earth because of the so called catoms infection.. Incoming mad scientist threat ( sigh)

    3. Tom and B'Elana have to face Miral's trial and custody audience because Tom's mother wants to take the girl from them .. shiver!

    4. Harry is getting closer to the Chief Engineer ( forgot her name ) .

    5. And the new Confederation of the First sector is very friendly and forth coming . Of course Tuvok " forgot " to tell them about transporters lol.. i predict that that little over sight will come handy one day XD.

Now in line with this points i imagine that this will happen:

    1. Janeway/Chakotay will eventually pacify and maybe he will ask her to marry him.. finally!

    2. Seven finds Axum and she will be torn between him and Hugh but maybe she will realise that Axum is not the best choice XD. Of course all this stuf after they escape of the mad frustrated scientist who thinks he can save the day detaining Seven against her will.

    3. Tom succeeds to convince his mother to forgive him and let his daughter alone.

    4. Harry is still dating the lady.

    5. I don't trust that general Xd After they realize that the federation has more advanced stuff they will try to put their hands on the shinies ..but Tuvok remembers that they don't know about transporters lol.

    6. Old enemies lol not even the Typhoon Pact can compete with an Alliance made of Voth and other " friends" Voyager made on its way back home .

    Who's next?

This is a great idea for a thread. I find he current plotline so great and unexpected though that I am having trouble predicting what will happen next.

    Hi there,

Don't be scared. It's going to be fine, I promise.

I don't know if you are familiar with John Scalzi's brilliant "Whatever" blog (if not...run, don't walk) but in his comments he often pulls out what he calls "the mallet of loving correction." I'm going to borrow it here to clarify a few things...

On the Vesta. Achilles is still in action, but no longer part of the Full Circle Fleet.

Tom will be facing the mediation alone. Remember, she refused to go back. B'Elanna will have her hands full, however, in the DQ with the rest of the fleet.

    Nancy Conlon

I know it's a mouthful, but its the "Confederacy of the Worlds of the First Quadrant".

Also, Tuvok is still in the Beta Quadrant on Titan. Chakotay chose not to reveal the current state of Federation Tech the first time he met with General Mattings.

    My guesses?

Chakotay's coldness will force Janeway to realize that she's always been a J/7 shipper/Amazon warrior princess at heart and she will immediately order all of the men onboard back to the AQ on Voyager, Galen and Demeter, keeping the VESTA for herself and all of the other female officers from all 4 ships in the DQ and from now on we really will have the "Flight of the Valkyries." Their first mission will be to rescue Seven and bring her into their new collective.

Seven will decide that all men and women are clearly more trouble than they are worth and will find a way to contact the Caeliar and advise them that she's changed her mind.

Tom will decide that he's actually missed being single and offer his mother Miral, his as-of-yet unborn son, and a future draft choice if she will take both of them off his hands and pull a few strings with Starfleet Command to get him one of those cushy admiral jobs.

Harry will, in fact, get closer to Nancy Conlon (who had no interest in running the engine room of an all-girl's school). Which means everything will be smooth sailing from here on out until they day they both die, side by side, holding hands, roughly 117 years from now.

And yes, the Confederacy will do all they can to get their hands on the fleet's "shinies" (my favorite new word) but because the fleet is made up of "ladies", they will take offense at such forward behavior and immediately commence kicking a few "shinies" of their own.

Game over, folks. Hand over your money now because I aced this one.

    Best,
    KMFB

(Man, I'm in a mood tonight.)

Lessee, Axum has an epiphany and realizes that missing out on world-hopping with the Caeliar because he couldn't get over a chick was a bad move, and finds the Gestalt. Or Seven makes Axum realize how pathetic he really is and finds the Gestalt for him, because she doesn't date losers and just wants to get him out of here.

Tom makes all nice with Mommy after a few courtroom jousts and the usual mother-son catharsis.

The Caeliar eventually realize that their catoms are running amok and drop in to save the day. Erika Hernandez IS the aforementioned Caeliar drop-in and conveniently brings along Seven's Mom, which immediately brings up SOOOOO many issues in Seven spanning decades. These issues will take another book to resolve.

Erika Hernandez doesn't take kindly to Axum'/s treatment by Starfleet and vaporizes everyone in sight. The Tamarian Doctor gives us an interesting metaphorical commentary of this ass-whupping in his native language. Meanwhile Erika Hernandez advises Janeway against an all-female crew as in her experience it doesn't work out too well. Hernandez also advises Janeway to reconsider men as worthy since living 800 years without them sucked, so Janeway should appreciate what she has, even if it is Chakotay.

Why hasn't the Full Circle fleet visited the planet where Voyager left Kohlar's group of Klingons? And if they have quantum slipstream, then why haven't they gone to ask the ex-Borg group founded by Hugh for help regarding the catomic disease? Aren't they a lot closer to Federation space than the Delta Quadrant?

Do we know for a fact that Hugh's group is even still around?

Maybe one of the destroyed Full Circle fleet ships looked in on the Klingons and it just wasn't mentioned in one of the recent Voyager books? (I don't know of course, just speculating.)

And is Hugh's ex-Borg group still around (he died in Greater Than the Sum) after the Caeliar transformation? I looked in Mem. Beta but there isn't any further info listed besides GTtS. (Didn't read all of Destiny so don't know if the liberated Borg were mentioned there.) Note: like JD just said, lol. PS then what about Hugh's child (if was born)?

PS as long as people are speculating about Acts of C., I'm wondering if someday Voyager & Co. might want to drop in on the Human populated planet from "The 37s", especially to see how Amelia E. is doing lol (just a thought of course, not saying that is a good idea or not).

Well, no they haven't been heard from since Greater Than the Sum, but many members of the Cooperative didn't join the Caeliar mainly because they had non-Borg children, and thus I suppose there must be some members of Hugh's group who had similar thoughts.

Also, what about other members of Unimatrix Zero? Wouldn't someone like Korok want to go home and rejoin the KDF?

And something else not strictly related to Acts of Contrition, Kirsten, why is it that the "Tarkans" from "Darkling" and Myriad Universes - Infinity's Prism - Places of Exile are spelled "Tarkons" in The Eternal Tide?

I filed a pre-order with Amazon and my credit card will be billed when the book ships. Geez, what more to you want? :cardie:

I'm not really a fan of the Confederacy of the First Whatever (they bore me). I want more Caeliar! I want my Catom Plague plot! I want Axum to realize how much of a loser he really is! :ack: I want more Tamarian Doctors telling us how Kreitaan's Skirt Ruffles, the clock tolls at midnight and delivers dialogue like Counsellor Troi.

Actually they were called simply the Tarkan, as a collective term, in "Darkling" ("The Tarkan are that powerful?"), and that's what I used in PoE.

I'm hoping if/when Axum is up and about again, he'll give us an update on Unimatrix Zero.
