Favorite mind meld?

Any ST series, film, or species.

For me, TOS: Dagger of the Mind, because it introduces the concept and sets up the initial rules for the Vulcan version of the game. Nimoy establishes key words and actions we see repeated in nearly every presentation of it since. "Open your mind" had another meaning as well to the youth audience in the 60s.

But Morgan Woodward is the one who sells it. We first see him completely out of his mind in the first examination. There's a slight sign of recognition when Spock repeats neural neutralizer, and Van Gelder seems surprised to hear it, unaware he screamed it a moment earlier. Drugs relax him a bit. And when finally in the meld, it's like a dreamy trance, a complete opposite of the horrors in Adams' chair. Woodward does several variations on the personality, but we never see what Van Gelder is normally like. He'd probably be a lot different from Ron Tracey too.

The meld between Spock Prime and young Kirk in Star Trek. The way it was shot, the echoing, distorted voices, the imagery, the sounds - the best mind meld ever.

Second is Spock using a mild meld to counter a skullcrusher in Into Darkness.

Third is this:

Fourth is Tuvok showing some guy clips of Event Horizon in "Random Thoughts"

...hands down, the Horta...the way he "moanweeps" "Paaiiinnnnn"! ...jesus...

"What the hell?"

Interesting... I never thought about it before, but mind meld's feature in every TOS movie. Huh.

My response the OP would be "Dagger of the Mind" also. It was the first one that came to mind.

But, I also like the first of the two melds in TMP, as the Vulcan Kolinar Master conducts the whole thing in the Vulcan language, and I thought that was neat.

Spock merging with the Medusan in "Is There in Truth No Beauty," followed closely by Spock melding with the Horta in "The Devil in the Dark."

Mine will always be Spock and Nomad. This time the mind meld was TOO good--or Nomad too powerful.

Sterilize! Sterilize! Sterilize!

I have to go with Dagger of the Mind...Nimoy and Morgan Woodward sold it.

I also liked Requiem for Methuselah for the way Spock wanted to heal Kirk.

I think my favorite mind meld's have a healing component to them.

Spock & McCoy in TWoK. "Remember". It was even more poignant before the events of TSFS. Pretty much the most intimate moment they ever shared in the entirety of Star Trek history

The Horta was definitely a good one.

I also enjoyed Dukat's response to being mind melded in its only DS9 appearance.
