I'm not certain why the link didn't work. Thanks for the correct link. I wish Varek was still here as he was one of the ones who I could have an intelligent conversation with instead of those who post links to movies or shows that have certain words they have taken from the thread. Too bad they are trapped in a canon world...I guess they will have to crawl around in their caves while the rest of us evolve and move on.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_evolution

Based on the Wiki Article humans have been around for about 2.5 to 3.0 million years with other life existing well before humanity came along.

You would think that humans and apes would have evolved right along with the rest of the species on Earth from the very beginning.

The timeline in the Wiki tells me that something must have happened that sparked humanity into life. Maybe humans were underground cave dwellers that followed the herds that supposedly moved between the land masses when they were still connected into the openness of the Earth above ground.

I can't find the article about the massive tunnels that dinosaurs used to cross the continents through.

But here is another article about small caves and passages that humans once used.

It could be possible that the reason why humans resemble apes in our early years where images show us hunched over is because humans once lived in crowded caves like the ones in the article that were connected to the larger tunnels where humans would emerge from their holes in the walls to ambush their prey.

As the continents split apart the tunnels filled with water causing the large and small dinosaurs to stop using them and move to the surface in order to hunt their prey.

As a result humans slowly went from being hunched over to standing upright.

If humans had evolved along side of apes then humans would never have been hunched over like we are seen in so many images.

In the image below you will see that humans progressively increase in mass and height. If humans would have evolved along side of the apes on the surface of the planet instead of underground then humans would have started out life at a larger size based upon the availability of space and food to grow, compared to an anaconda that grows larger the more it eats, instead of being limited to a smaller amount of food and a confined space which would limit a humans growth.

COULD THE PYRAMIDS, SACRED SITES, MOUNDS BE MARKERS FOR UNDERGROUND TUNNEL SYSTEMS AND CITIES

This is also another interesting article. Most of the interior details of the pyramids relates to star gazing or looking up and going up. Only a species that had lived underground would aspire to continue to "dig" upwards into the night sky by developing math and science that humans have to explore space.

So maybe all of the small shafts in a pyramid when mirror on theirself would give us another map to dwellings deep underground where humans might have come to the surface from following their prey after the continents broke apart and the tunnels filled with water.

Dryson, clean up the markup in your post and avoid making sweeping insults toward other posters. Thank you.

They did evolve together, from a common ancestor all those millions of years ago.

    No, they weren't Morlocks.

This is why people react to you the way they do.

    Morlocks again?

Humans and dinosaurs lived together? Those Sleestak bastards.

    No, just no.

This is so profoundly wrong in misunderstanding the evolutionary process that it's inevitable that mockery comes about.

Tell us about the vrill powered civilization of the Lizard people living underground who are watching and manipulating humanity.

A lot of scientists refuse to admit that early dinosaurs used flashlights and rock climbing gear to navigate the vast cave systems, as did the early humans who traveled with them. It's also a gross misconception that early humans stood hunched over. Due to the greater axial tilt of the Earth back then, the surface was sloped at a fairly steep angle, so early man was actually keeping his upper body and head upright while his lower body hugged the steep, sloping terrain that existed, again, due to the Earth's greater axial tilt.

I can't help feeling that these discussions would do better in Misc.

The OP's posts certainly don't resemble anything scientific. I may have to start closing threads that don't open with credible scientific content.

I wouldn't mind threads being started with genuine scientific misconceptions that get discussed and end up being educating to the OP and other interested people.

But this one is not one of those.

I don't participate much in this forum, but I do read a lot of the threads because the topics interest me. Half the time, though, they turn out to be complete nonsense without any real basis in science.

I think this should be addressed to Dryson a little more formally:

You need to validate your topic with material that can be verified and discussed.

The moderator can handle this how he sees fit, but in general: The existence of this thread and others like it are only justifiable if you are able to justify them.

Snide remarks about canon are just damaging your case. What you call "canon" is the established body of science and technology that this forum was created for and named for. If you cannot or will not integrate your ideas with that body of knowledge, well, that's your business. But then your discussions will never fit into Science and Technology.

    Good luck.

Now we really need a Morbo pic saying "EVOLUTION DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY!"

"In the beginning, there was no life, the earth was forming...BOOM, the earth simmered from earth quakes, mountains forming, oceans boiling, then all was quiet....a little pool of water forms..in that pool, two tiny amoeba, the start of life."

--Bugs Bunny, "This is a Life?" 1955

It's bad when a Bugs Bunny cartoon is more scientifically accurate than what's posted in the Science and Technology forum.

Yeah, what use is mathematical physics? It's not like the universe works around it or something...

Yeah. Objects on Earth tend to move in straight lines, while objects in the heavens tend to move in circles. Objects from Earth launched into space tend to meet up with planets, moons, comets, and asteroids within a couple of meters of the desired point. It's all just tendencies...

Meanwhile, concerning evolution is this interesting find of an unusual type of species formation, in which a new parasitic ant species emerged while living in the same nest as the parent species within the past 37,000 years.

As with all studies of ants, it has large ramifications for human society. You see, the parasitic ant species is lazy and doesn't grow any food, it just steals it from the productive working class ants. To keep from upsetting the host workers (who are being scammed), the parasitic queens have evolved to blend in and look like a productive worker, even though they are shiftless, lazy, welfare parasites. To maintain their low profile, the parasite species queens and drones don't even leave the nest to mate like a normal ant (who don't do the nasty in front of all the little ant children). No, they just meet up down in the nest, in whatever flop house chamber they're inhabiting.

This ground-breaking finding shows that humans could actually speciate without physical geographic isolation by providing an environment where welfare cheats can thrive while maintaining reproductive isolation by meeting up in different bars from regular folks.

He's trolling with total bullshit that has nothing to do with science, social science, or even facts.
