Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Got my JJprise today. Awesome model. Better than I thought it'd be. Very nice Aztecing, and the decals are even nice on the Nacelles. Only issue, hardly any window paint on the edge of the saucer. Just a few little black ones towards the rear of the saucer near the neck attachment point. Don't know if this is the wary the actual ship in the films looked, but I find it a bit odd that there wasn't much of an attempt to add in windows there. Model came fully intact and aligned properly (nacelles weren't cock-eyed or anything.) Also the size is nice too. Shame the whole collection wasn't of this size. Would have been extremely beneficial for the likes of the Excelsior, Constitution (Ent-Refit) and Sovereign classes.

Romulan BoP 2152 #27
Valdore #31
Suurok class #34
Klingon BoP 2152 #35
Klingon Raptor class #41

A lot of the Romulan and Vulcan stuff is there already. So the point eared may be the Romulan and Vulcan science/scout ships.

Inside the solar system, invasion, the only "invasion" that's ever happened has been the Borg one, or the Breen attack in 2375 but we never saw those ships.

So I'm guessing two First Contact ships also. Which probably means Steamrunner, the only other FC one I want besides the Akira.

What do they mean by Invasion. Has Earth ever been invaded? Attacked absolutely. That would be the above mentioned Borg, Breen and Xindi (main weapon and also many others in alternate timeline with Twilight), and the Klingon ship (though it will already be released long before these) that attacked Archer and crew near Earth.

I forgot about the Breen. I do believe this was one they were considering for a while. I'd be happy with that. Def. a unique ship.

If you mean the literal meaning of the word, try an online dictionary.

If you mean why did I use the word, the teaser from Eaglemoss specifically uses that term to hint at an upcoming ship. Ask them what they mean.

I received my shipping confirmation for Eaglemoss for August. From the looks of it and is scheduled for delivery on Monday. The shipment also includes the magazine for the JJPrise special, so that may explain why the shipments were a few days later than usual.

Yep I got the same yesterday. Including the JJPrise mag and also says the same as trekkers' regarding the AGT ENT-D , backordered. Though I already knew that from the e-mail they sent a couple days ago.

I haven't received any emails saying when my shipment was sent. The only email I've ever received so far was one stating I would be charged for the DS9 special and sent the following month. Also, is it common to be charged and not receive the ships until almost a month later? It seemed at first like I would get charged around the first week of the month and get the ships within ten days. However, lately it seems the time between charging and receiving the ships has gotten longer and longer.

That's how it started out. The first several months there was little or no communication from Eaglemoss, you just got charged and then received the models. A few months ago they improved their communication and we started receiving shipment notifications.

I'd check to make sure their emails aren't getting caught in your spam filter. If not, it may be worth contacting them to make sure you have your email on file and confirm they're sending you the notifications.

Again, that's how it started out for many of us. The time between payment and delivery was around 3 weeks, now the time is typically somewhere between 10-14 days.

:/ mine makes no mention if any if this.

Got my Enterprise-E today, whoop :)
Very nice. Although it does seem kinda pretty light grey in colour, almost whiteish. As compared to the usual dark greyer tones of say the Nebula-class and the Prometheus. Is everyone else's like this?

I also noticed DS9 became briefly instock on their site the other day so I quickly ordered that, hopefully should be here within the next week. Then there'll only be the Enterprise-D of the Starfleet ones I don't own.
(well, I never got the Defiant delivered either but that's a long story)

Also I was thinking how in each magazine there's a little segment on Designing the Ship, and how they came about it etc. I wonder what they're gonna say in the Romulan Drone Ship one?

"well there was this ship from VOY: The Fight... and yeah we just used that."

Following an interview on Trek Collective, a petition has been launched to include Captain Riker's USS Titan in the Starships Collection:
Hi all, I posted an interview on The Trek Collective today with Ben Robinson of The Official Starships Collection, the magazine and model series. When I asked about the potential for non-canon ships such as the Titan to be included this was the answer:
I think the NX-01.5 is a special case. Again, I know there are people out there who are passionate about the video games and the novels (or old FASA manuals for that matter) but for the moment we've drawn a line that says it has to have appeared in a live action TV series or movie for us to do it. There are a lot of those and it will keep us busy for a while. Of course, I do occasionally have dreams about doing ships from the Animated Series. That said, if more than 5,000 people sign up solemnly promising to buy a Titan or an Enterprise-F, we'll almost certainly do it. If anyone wants to make that happen then feel free - it's a serious offer. But, whatever you do, don't email me! I'm not going to count 5,000 emails.
I doubt 5,000 names alone is all it will take, but it's a good starting point, so I started a petition! So if you'd like a little model Titan to swoosh around while enjoying the books, please add your name, and share share share! :)

Here's the link to the petition for those who're interested: http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/usstitan

With the NX-01.5 refit (Columbia-class) confirmed and Titan having a fighting chance to live, the Vesta-class USS Aventine would be cherrytopping. Three's the charme, isn't it? ;)

So the NX refit WILL be made, eh? Must have missed that memo - definitely good news on that one.

So, I just signed it - was signature 125. Only 4875 remaining to reach their "goal", although I don't know how influential petitions really are in business decision-making processes. I don't think a single one I signed over the years ever happened. Star Trek: Armada and Armada II were never made for the Mac, the USS Enterprise was never built 4 realz, and Piers Morgan hasn't been deported yet. :p

Hopefully this one will work.

Good news, Ben has confirmed he's entirely serious: If he can gather contact details for 5000 people who will pre-order a Titan (or anything else presumably) that's enough to get a special edition made.

Well, I signed the petition. I don't really care much about the stories in the (thankfully) non-canon novel-universe, but I do like many of the ship designs I see popping up on covers or the MMORPG.

I would like to see some of these things too, but I'm not getting any hopes up. The problem with non-canon stuff is every single trekkie/er out there has a different opinion on the subject, and whatever eaglemoss does somebody will be unhappy about it. Not to mention it would be tough to appease the CBS/Paramount franchise-ship on the subject. And that there are literally tons of canon stuff that have not been done yet.
