Aww.. I miss kittens! Why do cats always sleep on uncomfortable things? Just so weird sleeping on this wooden box rather than the whole couch. Of course sometimes it's a matter of claiming it. All we have to do is put one new cardboard box in the middle of a room and there is a rush to be the first one to sit in it. New keyboards also attract territorial lusts. (This is Wicket.)
I completely agree. I would never have gotten a cat if I didn't plan on making it a life (well, her life anyway) long commitment. Any time I've moved, I've made sure the place was pet-friendly. If it wasn't pet-friendly, it immediately got cut from my list. Pets aren't hobbies.
Mark de Vries, that is so sad. RIP Nala. Miss Lemon, beautiful cat! And thank you for calling our attention to Mark's loss -- I hadn't noticed the line below the photo.
Thanks Miss Lemon and Tora Ziyal. We'll miss her. This is Nala's sister, Phantom. She's the loner of the gang, doing her own thing. Once, she went walkabout for seven weeks, only to show up again as if nothing happened... Cats are.. unique.
^Kitty Worrier, from you avatar, I take it your cat is a computer wiz? Phantom, what a cool name! I assume it refers to the color of her coat? Oh, and I love the tongue, too.
Or it refers to her tendency to disappear for 7 weeks My girl cat is named Maya, which in Hindu means "illusion". She manages to completely disappear in a 2 bedroom apartment, so I wonder if she was ever really there at all.
Originally, her name referred to the light spot on her face, which was much brighter when she was a kitten, giving her a Phantom of the Opera look.
lol, she does like to be around computers. I think that's my husband's old gaming laptop. Maybe she likes to secretly play Skyrim when we are at work! Her name is Lily, and she is about nine years old.
^My cats also love computers, TV sets and loudspeakers. I guess they're just keeping up with the 21st century. I've got some more cat pics for you. I did a little photo shoot with the kitties messing around with a broom a few years ago. Here are what I consider to be the best shots:
I also like the Twitter vignettes Wil Wheaton posts, in which he recounts conversations with his cat. This recent one, for example: https://twitter.com/#!/wilw/status/178345357846126592
Watch your mouth, kid, or you'll find yourself floating home. Sincerely, your friendly neighborhood moderator and scoundrel.
