Ziyal is having more surgery

SO glad you're home and on the mend! This time, for real! :)

So far, does this seem like a much smoother process than the last time?

Sorry this is sort of old, but I didn't want to start a whole new thread.

The surgery went so smoothly. Plastic surgeon said he'd found a real mess inside. I had apparently produced way too much scar tissue, which meant that I wasn't getting enough circulation in those areas, and so on. He took the more conservative of two possible approaches to the surgery. He was pretty confident that that approach would do the trick, but, if it didn't, we'd have to go for the more radical version, which would mean a longer, more difficult recovery.

Well, for five weeks, everything went smoothly. Perfectly. Now I've had a setback, and I'm terrified that when I see him on Thursday he's going to say that it's not working and we have to go to plan B.

Today is 18 months since the original surgery. Does this shit ever end?

It will end. It just doesn't seem like it right now because you've been through the ringer again and again. Things will get better. I'll be hoping for the best. Being ill is so draining. Good luck to you.

Best wishes, hopes and hugs Ziyal. Hang in there, it'll get better. You've gotten this far and you have the strength to keep going. Stay strong and keep your chin held high.

Thanks, gentlemen! Dorian, you're right, being ill is draining. (So is my wound. hehe) Though the irony is that I actually feel good. I'm bored and restless and ready to move on with life!

Keep going, Ziyal. I'm glad to hear you're anxious to move on with life - it sounds like you're doing well, even if you're body isn't quite ready to fully cooperate yet. ;) But it will, and as always I wish you luck in the coming months. :)

I'm at least glad to hear you're feeling better than you were after your last surgery.

Do you feel good that this guy knows what he's doing?

Very sorry to hear about the setback but I'm sure your docs are doing everything they can, TZ. Here's to some good news.

"Oh bother." :p

Though the irony is that I actually feel good. I'm bored and restless and ready to move on with life!

Go to Camden Yards and you'll feel better. ;)

Sorry to hear about the setback. Hopefully the more radical surgery will not be necessary, but it's good to know there's another option if it comes to that. Good luck.

I'm glad you're keeping up your sense of humor. That's very important. :)

Thanks, guys.

Do you feel good that this guy knows what he's doing?

Yes, very good.

Oh, no... I'm already dying of boredom. You want to make it worse? ;)

I'm glad you're keeping up your sense of humor. That's very important. :)

Speaking of which, I just noticed that I'm only a couple dozen posts away from 4000. I'm going to be a Rear Admiral. How appropriate!

sending wishes for speedy and complete healing! I hope your return visit brings good news!
