This thread is about YouTube Channels that folks can recommend to TrekBBS Members. Hopefully by promoting them, we can keep them alive and they can keep on producing new material.

Let me start with two of my favorites.

Vsauce. It is an info educational channel that never fails to blow my mind.

There is also a Vsauce2 and Vsauce3 Channels.

Cracked. It is a Geek meets Star Wars channel that also has interesting discussions about movies, shows and comics.

Look out for their After Hours, Obsessive Pop Culture Disorder, Staff Picks! & Today's Topic playlists.

Crash Course is another educational channel that's always interesting to watch.

I'll put in a plug for YouTube vlogger Natalie Tyler Tran, aka communitychannel. This Vietnamese-Australian girl is smart, funny, and cute as a button.

And for anyone with an interest in cars, there's Jay Leno's Garage. Jay loves cars and it shows. He really does his homework. In fact, I find him much more entertaining as a car guy than as a comedian or talk-show host.

In the vein of vsauce is Minute Physics which explains a myriad of physics concepts and phenomena in short one minute videos.

Improv Everywhere is a group people that has lately taken to improvising famous scenes or characters from movies on the streets of New York. So far they have done Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, Matrix, Back To The Future, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and more.

And finally, I figured I'll give a plug to tested.com who have a joint channel with Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman of Mythbusters fame. Tested is more of a magazine focused on science and technology, computing, gaming but because of Adam Savage's involvement also include videos on movies, prop making, reproducing authentic movie props, building stuff in Adam's workshop.

I don't have the link right off but Live Prude Girls are two of the funniest people on the planet. Whether it's their song "Women Aren't Funny" or their incredibly awkward talk show "Let's Talk About Something More Interesting.":techman:

One I don't recommend, but the story amuses me. Our Prime Minister, Tony Abbot, has a YT channel, but it was taken down, due to 'misleading content'. Laughed about that all day.
