You're the Worst is not the Worst.

It looks like a louder, more obnoxious version of You're The Worst.
I just started watching this for the first time this season, and I'm loving it. It's nice how they actually deal with the characters having serious issues, and manage to find humor in their situations, but aren't necessarily making fun of people with psychological problems.
It's a hard tone to maintain. Gretchen and Jimmy are complete assholes who really don't deserve any sympathy, but the show actually makes me feel for them. It's as if their issues are really the cause of their behavior.

Except for Lindsey, Lindsey is an awful human being. She's actually the worst.

Yeah, I have to agree about Lindsey, and now her trying to make out with the guy at the baby place just adds to it.
Who's the kid that was writing for Jimmy?

The kid lived across the street since the pilot, with an identical emotional maturity to Jimmy. They play video games together. So Jimmy kept him around to pretend that he is human with feelings.

I'm starting to get worried about Edgar. I'm not sure how I got emotionally invested in these characters. But at least Edgar was the most decent of the group.

It took me forever to figure out where I knew Desmin Borges from during his episodes on Preacher.

It would be amazing if they just keep playing this day over and over again from the rest of the casts perspective. :)

That was a very interesting episode.
Could someone fill me in on what happened in the last 10 minutes? There was another show I wanted to watch at 10:30, so I switched over before the end.

Edgar's PTSD keeps getting worse and he pulls to the side of the road, this is roughly when Jimmy calls him from last weeks episode. He comes close to killing himself, notices the a paper boat in the river and goes to it, meets some young film students. As he goes back to his car, he sees that it's getting towed. The tow truck driver is also a vet and he advises him to find something to help him cope because the VA isn't prepared to actually help them and it's not really their fault. It seems to end on a happy note given how dark it got.

Really the worst thing is that we haven't noticed how successively drowned Edgar must have been getting every week before now.

You have to remember, too, that despite how nice Edgar is on the surface, he's still basically a war criminal if any of his war stories are even remotely true. He's described some pretty dark shit during his flashbacks.

He may be the only remorseful main character on the show, but he's still one of the 'worst,' too.

It's like this show is turning into this weird adult version of Community. I'm not crazy about it.

He'll always be Shitty Jimmy to me now. That was pretty devastating but I saw it coming as soon as she mentioned family.
