Your Wishlist Doctor/Companion combination

Ok so there is the thread of favourite Doctor/Companion combination. How about your wishlist of Doctor/Companion combination. That is, any doctor with any companion. Who would you wish were paired up?

I'd like to see the Eleventh Doctor paired with Jenny. I think it would bring back the "teacher-student" relationship that we'd previously seen with Ace, Leela and especially Susan. There would be an interesting dynamic in having the Doctor with his daughter, considering she looks as young as he does. And it would eliminate any romance angle, giving the people who have been upset over the Doctor being given a love life a chance to stop complaining for awhile.

Six with Donna and Tegan...

Watch the TARDIS explode!

Ah, no. Six with Donna and Jamie.

First, Six and Jamie work so well together. Six is almost like a fanboy towards Jamie. Plus, Six is just a teensy bit, um, what's the word I wanna use? oh, right, arrogant. Yet when paired with Evelyn, another side came out, and the arrogance was put in check.

Six plus Donna? Oh yeah. There would be a mutual admiral society towards each other, and Jamie would keep things entertaining by always charging into situations blindly while the wind makes his kilt blow up, and ... um ... what was I saying?

^Tegan actually did have a short adventure with the Sixth Doctor in the skit "In A Fix With Sontarans".

In addition to Two Doctors, an elder Jaime also was a companion of the Sixth in the comics.

I know. It was interesting seeing her again, but I'd still rather have Donna and Jamie with Six.

Yes and yes. "Fix with Sontarans" always makes me sad that we never got more sixth/Tegan adventures. Well, it makes me sad for a number of reasons, but that is among them. Adding Donna to the mix would be even better!

In addition to Two Doctors, an elder Jaime also was a companion of the Sixth in the comics.
Not so much a companion-- it was just one last trip. But he will be traveling with the sixth Doctor in three audio dramas this year, one of which will bring back Zoe.

Oh yeah. It and slash are two reasons why I tend to ignore fan-fic! More than a few times I've seen an interesting story only to have it go pear shaped as the two male or female leads decide to go at it.

Actually, it does make me wonder if Torchwood fan-fic featuring Jack and Gwen going at it actually would be considered "slash"... food for thought.

3rd Doc and Captain Jack. Both men of action, and I'll bet Jack knows Venutian Karate too.
Also, 4th Doc and Donna. His eccentricities would drive even her up a wall. Imagine City of Fear with Donna.
Jamie and Doc 10 would have given the Doctor an excuse to fall into a scottish brogue once in a while.
Given the way he got on with Wilf, I would have loved to see Doc 10 interact with the old Brig. (Missed opportunity as Sir Alistair was in South America)

If I had my way, Five and Ten would roam the Universe together, but that could complicate things in the space/time continuum. :D

I rather liked the friendly chemistry between Ten and Sarah Jane; that would've been a fun Doctor/Companion pairing.

A friend of mine turned me on to Eight/Rose (but more as a romantic pairing than simply Doctor & Companion).

To be perfectly honest? My best combination would be Ten with DoctorDonna.

It's not the fact he's been given a love life; it's the fact that by episode 303 Martha was swooning over him where in fact there was zero chemistry. Same with Rose. Same with Donna. Give him a sharg with a guest star or recurring character but not the companion.

Donna *never* swooned over the Doctor. And there was tons of chemistry.

Never watched series 4. Show had shark-jumped by then.
