Your Thoughts on A Sci'Fi Crossover RPG

So, I was wondering how people on these boards feel about the idea of an online Sci'fi Crossover RPG. I was thinking of something along the lines of allowing players to be the leaders of a given faction from one of their favorite science fiction shows or series? It would be very similar to the Civilization games, but obviously not as advanced graphics. And when I say crossover I mean a real crossover, like players playing factions from Star Trek, Stargate, Star Wars, Command and Conquer, The Alien Movies, Dr. Who, really anything they want to play as. What are your thoughts?

Literally all I'm asking for is your opinion on if you would play a game like this, what you think of the concept, if you think it's feasible, etc, your own ideas for a project like this. Even if your interested in helping out.

I would play something like this. I find crossovers to be entertaining, if done right. The Star Trek vs. Star Wars thing is probably the most interesting crossover for me.

I've seen these done in the past and (I'll be honest) they take a lot of time and care. I've very rarely seen one that lasts longer than 6 months in over 10 years of time in RPGs.

Sounds interesting. Different factions within factions. Rebel Aliance teaming up with Star Fleet to take down the united Imperial and Borg menace! The Daleks versus the SG1 team, with Q thrown in to make it interesting.
As far as a game goes tho, maybe a flash game thats played overhead, similar to Flash Trek Broken Mirrior. The game plays well and doesnt look that bad. The biggest chalenge would be including as many different si-fis as possible. Not just "Trek vs. Wars" but everything. I'm talking Buck Rodgers man!
