Your signature....

My signature has not drawn attention.

It is a small translated part of one of my fave poems from Rilke. No idea if someone else out there likes it, but I do.

The addy is from the organisation were "my foster child" gets support from. I found the idea, to put it in ones sig on the homepage as a way to make the organisation more known and liked it, so did it.

Well, mine is actually a (somewhat ironic) ode to the americans supremeism.

the first line is written in memory of a departed friend. i usually keep it for a month the i remove it. (sep 20 - oct 20)

My signatures are often movie/cartoon quotes but some actual quotes from USAF commanders...sometimes it's hard to tell the difference..

For a long time my signature was a Stephen Colbert quote from the 16 January 2009 episode of The Colbert Report ("Only God could love Star Trek: Voyager!") but was summarily called on it recently... and in recognizing my own hypocrisy at the time, I removed it.

Shortly thereafter, I found a quote from one of my favorite writers and included it, as it tends to be quite relevant to how I feel about various persons here.

Right now, my signature is all about The Trevor Project. If you've never heard of it, click on the previously mentioned link. I try to keep mine meaningful in some way, or at least contain pertinent information for something I believe in.

I think that folks sigs around here reflect the great amount of education most have, let alone being extremely well read. Try finding that on the WWE boards!
(No 0ffense intended)

I keep this as my sig because it's true, obviously.

(By the way, where is jenji? it's been a while since I saw her around here...)

Here's one:

-------------------

'Play the game!!!'

'Leave me alone!!'

'PLAY THE GAME!!!'

'Once more, and I'll hit you!!!'

'PLAY THE GAME!!'

'Stop it! He's got INTELLIGENCE!!'

'One Flew over the Star Trek BBS nest'

Mine are usuallly lines from t.v. shows are movies that strike me funny. Right now, The Big Bang Theory are rife with them

No, no one ever comments on them.

I've gotten the odd comment here and there, sometimes publicly and sometimes via PM, when I add a new guest to the list.

I've never bothered with a signature until the last couple of days. I heard this on the radio and thought it would make an awesome signature (and I wanted to share it with y'all), so I finally added one.

I trust that people everywhere are telling their friends about freeze rays because of my signature.

I rarely change mine. The one I had before this one, IIRC there was a spelling error people pointed out, for which I'm am grateful. :)

But otherwise, I guess it usually provides fair warning. :)

Mines a quote (or portion of a quote) printed on the wall of just about every TGI Friday's I've ever been to. Spent a lot of time at a TGI Friday's in Carol Stream, IL a few years ago while I was out there on a project. Kind of liked the quote and I've had it as a sig ever since. As for the second, well, my son's in the US Airforce and he actually said that one night when he was somewhat lit and annoyed with his older sister. I thought it was funny as hell.

I also rarely change mine. I think in the year + that i've been here i've only had 3 or 4 and have been with this one probably for almost a year now. It's one of my favorite Star Trek lines (from ST4) and it is appropriate for me as i tend to love to curse. I'm rather low brow. At my age, i can be.

Also, i've added the linky to the Voyager Caption Contest to it.

My signature is... for me. I absolutely don't expect anyone to actually click on the link. I'll change it again eventually. Probably when I attempt, futilely, again to leave the vortex of tbbs. :p

I'm going to keep one part of my signature as a way to ensure that doesn't happen. All the for the want of a comma. :guffaw:
