I too spend the majority of my posting time in TNZ, so those who don't frequent it will see much less of me. My stats say I post 4.56 times a day, but that number includes the over 2 years in which I dropped to almost lurker level of posting - the last 3 years or so, my actual posts per day have been much higher. I mean, I've already posted considerably more than 4.5 times today, and it's just gone midday. In fact, I probably went over it for today between midnight and went I went to bed
But as I said, 90% of those posts are in TNZ. I'm not a big thread starter, my 'threads started by' list is mostly caption contests.

I don't think I post a lot... 1,315 posts (before this one) averaging 1.44 posts a day. I really don't start many threads... 9 since joining back in 2007.

Given that, I'm really surprised that anyone even knows who I am around here... at all. You'd think that 1 or 2 posts a day would get totally lost in the flood of posts made around here on the average day. :wtf:

I've been here since 2002 and I have 12,500 posts, which I don't think is too excessive. My stats say I post about 5 times a day. I usually post here, in gen Trek and sometimes in the art and TNG forums. I think I post most in the Who forum, and if I start threads, it'll be there (usually about Barrowman). I did start a couple of threads here in Misc, which are the first I've started here in months and months and months. I don't really post much in the lounges. I can't keep up with all the games threads!

Am I misremembering, or once upon a time on Big Blue did posts in TNZ and the lounges not count towards your post count? I could have sworn there was something like that, or maybe it was just proposed. Didn't there used to be a post count minimum for contributing to TNZ, too?

I don't post often on any forum, because whenever I do, I usually do something wrong (Eg. Bethesda forums when writing 'they' instead of 'he' which caused almost a whole argument). I only really feel comfortable posting on forums directed for my age rather than ones aimed at the adult community.

I do 1.26 posts per day here, Usually in Misc and TNG forums. I love the caption contests too :p

While we're on the subject of posting habits, whom would you nominate as "Spammer of the Week"?

A. Rojohen
B. Miss Chicken
C. Jayson
D. Other (Specify)

:D

Just because other people are too afraid to post about their bowel movements doesn't make me a spammer. I'm a revolutionary! :p

At least my threads generate interesting conversation most of the time.

So yeah I spend way too much time here! Most of my posts are in the 'DS9 five worlds thingy' in fact it's the reason why I made commodore so fast.
I have not created that many threads but I have recently had the honour of creating the new check in thread in the Fleet Captains lounge, which was nice.

I mainly post in SFF, GTM, and Misc. I never really got into the lounges. I had a couple years in there where I was more active at TerranBBS and hardly visited here. But yeah, I don't plan to join any spammers' club anytime soon. ;)

Most of my posts are in spammy-type threads like line-by-line episodes, lounge games, avatar contests, and that epic DS9 5 word story. That story was responsible for me making fleet captain, and if it keeps going on, I'm sure I'll make commodore soon. Occasionally, I'll post a substantive comment or start a thread, but not often. I tend to lurk in Misc much more often than I comment.

Well, in general, you post on specific topics, and in my case, ones I usually visit, so I have noticed your existence. You may now live fulfilled. ;) :D

Seriously though, your posts are usually very cogent and informative, so I take note.

I believe the lounges didn't add to the post count, but I think TNZ still did count posts. TNZ did have a 50 post minimum. I remember building up my posts in the lounges just so I could hit that 50 post minimum. We also had a 100 post avatar threshold, where you couldn't get your 60x60 avatar until you hit 100 posts. :D

Aye, same here. Great minds think alike.

You are correct. There was a time, several years ago, when post count wasn't counted in Miscellaneous and TNZ. This upset quite a lot of people who mainly only posted in Miscellaneous, those that mainly posted in TNZ didn't seem to care.

And yes, there was a time when there was a post count one had to reach before posting in TNZ. That was before TNZ was a hidden forum that you had to ask to join.

There was a time when I was fairly prolific - I would even start threads! - but now I mostly just read. Even when I have an opinion I usually don't bother replying. I used to post a lot in the sports forum but one individual really sucked the fun out of that.

I hope it wasn't me. I think I know who you're talking about but this is the first I've heard of it.
