I reply to a thread a few times a day in a few forums.

I rarely start threads. I think I've started maybe four or five threads in the nearly five years () I've been here, not including avatar contests.

Now this I cannot figure out. You, of all people, in TNZ? How do you manage that? I always figured people like you were too nice to even be allowed in, let alone actually survive if you did go. This is not a flame, BTW. I'm genuinely curious.

Believe me, I didn't take it as a flame. What you posted would not be a flame in TNZ. In fact, you could have thrown in a few expletives, some vague comments about my lineage and still be alright as far as flaming goes. :D

That being said, TNZ works toward me on principle. I am kind and courteous to everyone, until they intentionally try to lie and deceive me. Once they do that, I will ask that they stop and actually have a genuine debate. If it de-evolves, then I take off the gloves. My annoyance and irritation is limited to a handful of people, and they have that because of how they comport themselves and how they treat others.

I also try to be as polite as possible in TNZ and I think I generally get treated with respect as a result of this.

I thought TNZ was specifically for the purpose of NOT being kind and courteous?

No i haven't. I've been a Fleet Admiral 2 years, tops.

I still think that you are, as my brother-in-law might say, "taking the mickey", but what the hell, no use arguing about it. Like I said, I'm not bitter. ;)

True. Being respectful in TNZ will get most of the people there to respect you even when they disagree with you. There are trolls who like to attack, but as a general rule, I agree, much more respect given.

I'm too much of a wimp to be a jerk in TNZ. I don't wanna get pwned. :p

You don't have to be a jerk in TNZ. If you are, people will be one right back, that's the difference between TNZ and Misc. Here, when people are rude and spiteful, you bite your tongue. There, you call them out on it.

TNZ is for much more spirited debate, and yes, to let your tongue loose and fire back a few rounds. While there can be some serious drawbacks, for the most part TNZ is a great place.

It took me several years to make this top rank. :p

I remember when I first joined back in early 2002 (and then late 2002 *ahem*), I saw Fleet Admiral (I think 16,000 posts at the time) and I knew I had to get there. I thought it would be impossible, and that no one could possibly do it, but yes indeed they did, and now I'm one of them. Now, though, it's not important. Somewhere around the rank of Rear Admiral, I just lost interest in my post count. I mean, it's neat to be at the top of the food chain, but it doesn't really matter like it would have if it were me 7 years earlier.

I can pretty much say what I like in TNZ, as the general banter between the regulars clips along at such a pace that my occasional idiotic/worthless posts get swamped pretty quickly.

Umm...Not that I do say what I like, though...I have too much fun a-lurkin' and a-readin' in TNZ to be a-postin'...

Errr....yeah. :D

While we're on the subject of posting habits, whom would you nominate as "Spammer of the Week"?

A. Rojohen
B. Miss Chicken
C. Jayson
D. Other (Specify)

:D

I'm not a spammer. To be a spammer you have to make threads just to make threads. I make threads when I think of something I want to say, is intresting to say or I have a soultion to a problem if only everyone would listen to it.
