If you would have let the Enterprise have two seperate radio buttons, one for original/refit and one more for the Abramsprise I would have chosen the original/refit as the Abramsprise is a ugly POS IMO. I had to choose my runner-up being the Soveriegn 1701-E which was designed with the refit in mind.:vulcan:

I voted for the last option, although you came very close to including mine: the Cylon Basestar. And it really doesn't matter if you're talking about the old series or new - in the old, they were super-menacing and beautiful, and in the new, they are super-menacing, beautiful, and filled with naked Sharons and Capricas.

Come to think of it, maybe it does matter a little.

(And, as others have mentioned, my vote is based on asthetics. If you later clarify this to include a ship's designed capabilities, my vote would have to change.)

My favorite design of all time was the Nova Class -- although I voted for Star Destroyer (well, SUPER star destroyer) just for the testosterone oomph.

I went with the ANSA's Icarus (Taylor's ship from the original Planet of the Apes)

Just growing up in the Age of Apollo and going to the moon, this little capsule like ship really caught my eye as a kid. It had the elements of a Gemini/Apollo feel to it, while still looking like a scifi arrow shot into space.

Yes its a tad dated but still cool looking to an old man such as myself :)

Love the cool retro cockpit (Even had an ashtray for when the mission commander gives his last log while smoking his cigar )

Again even after crashing and about to sink she is still sleek and sexy for her time :)

Take it at face value, I still also like the C-57D :)

Like I said I am old fashioned.

Vons

Minbari Sharlin War Cruiser (Babylon Five). It's such an astonishingly beautiful design, and surprisingly badass and menacing for a graceful blue fish in space...:)

Honourable mentions to Romulan D'deridex warbirds and Vulcan D'Kyr combat cruisers.

Oooh, Vorchan warships and a Primus warship. I love the Vorchans, though the Primus isn't on my favourites list. :)

^ They are pretty cool ships those Vorchan.

In fact this reminds me of an old Centuri joke.

Q:How many Centuri does it take to change a light bulb?

A:Only one but, in the grand old days of the Republic, hundreds of servants would change thousands of light bulbs at our slightest whim!

I don't know which design to vote for, but I would like to throw in the Rodger Young style ship from Starship Troopers into the ring for people's consideration.

I vote for three, two of them from from the early 60s: Scott McLoud's "Starduster" and Steve Zodiac's Fireball XL5 WOOHOO!!

Starduster

and one more from Babylon 5 - Earth Force Destroyer

One of the most menacing ships ever seen in SciFi are the Super Star Destroyer (Which I voted for) and the Shadow Battle Crab.

Most beautiful design goes to the Enterprise E and the White Star.

Honorable Mention would go to the Minbari Giant Angle Fish looking ship.
