It is a great episode. It was the first one I ever saw. I was six or seven years old and Balok (the puppet) scared the heck out of me. Then the "real" Balok scared me even more! That little bastard still creeps me out!

So, after several edits I finally settle on this. :P

As you can see, I have a thing for space battles, character drama, and comedy stuff. The dominance of Season 2 was not intended here, but just happened to happen.

I've been reading them. It's interesting to see what other people's tastes are--even if the same titles tend to keep popping up over and over again.

Whenever we do these kind of lists, I like when the lesser-known episodes come up, like Conscience of a King and Shore Leave. You've got your classic episodes, sure, but when you get to the very good episodes that don't get mentioned that much, it's nice to see the different tastes people have.

I love conscience of the king. it's definitely in my top 10

Did you know the Astral Queen from battlestar galactica (remake series) was named after the Astral Queen from conscience of the king? I'm glad that such a high profile series paid tribute to that TOS episode ... even though i'm not really a fan of BSG..

Astral Queen is just a really cool name for a ship
