Your Nomilicious Foods

I can easily pig out Chinese takeout food — egg foo yung, subgum, moo goo gai pan, fried rice, egg rolls, fried shrimp, crispy noodles, all that Americanized Chinese stuff. And fortune cookies!

Have you found yourself a good all-you-can-eat Chinese Buffet? My girlfriend and I have one we love here in the South Bay and discovering it was like discovering plutonium. Or like discovering a restaurant that will give you as much Chinese food/sushi/ american food as you can eat.

The problem with the ones around here is that they insist on puting expensive stuff like King Crab on the buffet which runs the price up.

Also, British candies and snacks just look awesome. There are some things there that I can't find here in the U.S. (like those appealing looking "Dip Dabs").

That's easily fakeable. Get some sherbet, and a hard lollipop. lick the lollipop and dunk in the sherbet. voila!
 OK, not quite. But pretty close.

Are their sites that sell UK food to the US market like there are the other way around?

I demand someone send me some British candy! I'll send some American candy in return. :D

With Dip Dabs, I eat the lollie, and have a whole bag of Sherbet. - With Sherbet Fountains, I throw away the Licorice, and have a whole tube of Sherbet (Which is considerably more Sherbet than the Dip Dab.) I am; A Sherbet Fiend, I've discovered lately..

When I go to New York: Any food served here.

At home: Subway sandwiches (I go there two or three times a week), Runzas, and...more Runzas. :D

RUNZAS!!!!! Gotta be the original, though... Runza Hut never had all those different varieties when I was a kids, IIRC...

As for me, good quality french fries, Popcorn, jalepeno cheetos and Combos (God help me, yes, Combos)...

I'm a certified salty snack fiend... I'm also the kind of person who HAS to have something crunchy when I eat softer foods like burrito's or sandwhiches...

I got out of the habit 5 years ago when I dumped 115 lbs, but slowly and surely, they've crept back into my diet.. Dammit...

I like my food, but for some reason I've really developed a liking for tofu, like if I have a stir fry (which is often) I have a firm tofu and fish. Or if I have a steam basket (which is often) I'll have a couple kinds of veg, maybe some fish and tofu and some sauces to dip in. TOFU!

Oh and mackerel, you really cannot have enough mackerel: tinned or smoked, it's the best for noodles and stir fry (not steamed though, I prefer some kind of white fish for that or salmon).

Sponge cakes and muffins are my biggest weakness, the homemade kind rather than the supermarket variety.

A few biscuits never go amiss either - brut e bons, and biscotti, mostly.

And never without leisurely sitting down with a piping hot cup of tea or mocha of some sort. That stuff's gotta' be savoured. :D

What I call "forms of the divine ambrosia": Cadburry Creme Eggs, Egg Nog, Tamarindo Jarritos, and those chocolate orange things.

Hostess goodies are another thing for the sweet tooth.

'Round here, this place is good

I also like to put sweet pickle relish on my burgers
