Your inner child

^thanks. Sadly, the oldest sister (I'm the youngest of three) can barely be bothered to help out, even though she lives less than an hour away. I live 3 and a half hours away, and I'm the one who comes to help out, takes time off, actually spends time with her. But Mom and I have always been close. The middle sister lives several states away, so she actually can't be around much. The oldest is the drama queen and makes everything---and I do mean EVERYTHING--about her. Tomorrow is the funeral, and I'm dreading it.

I fed my inner child a little bit today by watching Supernatural reruns and eating Doritos. God knows how much weight I've gained these past two weeks.

I'm sorry to hear about your Dad Auntie...I understand a lot about loss..and about arrangements.. it's keeping the immediate family busy that seems to help with these
times..the services never go off without hitches, but those hitches make it very human
and you'll remember them.. God bless you, you are in my thoughts during this troubling time.

Hang in there, auntie. You'll get through the day, and the days ahead. We'll be thinking of you.

The memorial went surprisingly smoothly--several people from his old job, some cousins we hadn't seen in years and a few of their old neighbors from 5/10 years ago, all came. It was a very nice day, all things considered. Mom even said it was a far more pleasant experience than she had anticipated.

Now we're all exhausted.

My inner child actually had a little fun--I had ice cream with the middle sister and played with my Mom's horse-sized poodle, Louie.

My inner child would love to be to have a bubble bath in which some of her favourite rubber duckies.

Unfortunately my old, outer self has a problem when it comes to getting out of a bath,

Wish it was the reason.

A bath would be good for my arthritis but I would hate to find that I cannot get out and I would have ask for help from my one of my sons.

^That might be a bit awkward. I'm sorry, Miss Chicken. My inner child could recommend good shower stuff, too.

Today, my inner child is asking my outer adult to go and buy some colorful children's bandages as my outer adult didn't pay attention to where her hand was going and burned it yesterday.
ETA: My inner child would also like some naptime.

*hugs auntiehill*

My inner child gets lots of pink nail polish. And a fairly large doll collection (mostly American Girl and Madame Alexander).

Wish it was the reason.

Perhaps one of the following would assist..

My inner child is upset because VeggieTales has gone all cheap-shit lately - as of their last video ("Noah's Ark") they have adopted the rather perfunctory animation style of VeggieTales In The House and so is not really worth watching anymore. :sigh:

Sorry to hear about your Dad, auntiehill, went through this just recently myself. Big hugs.

I've been indulging my inner child, I found videos of Gerry Anderson's show 'Stingray', which said inner child is enjoying immensely.

With everything that's been going on, him and I need to sit have a chat soon.
