How much have you spent or are willing to spend on holiday gifts alone? As for me, I usually try to stay within my budget of US$300 for friends and colleagues and US$500 for family. I'd say mine is up to $1,000. What say you?

I have spent about $AUD200 which is about $US150. I am only buying for 4 people.
I'm in the up to $500 category. I make some gifts and I buy other ready made gifts.
On gifts, around $ 350.
Typically, under $200, for six people. This year I'm way off, though, because I bought my parents a PC. Budget is on par for everyone else, though.
This year about 250 on gifts, maybe 300. Australian so I guess 150 to 200 US
I'm probably going to end up slightly over that. Gave Mrs.Q2 $600 to buy gifts, I've spent $550 and still have a few more to get. Got a big immediate and extended family. I'm glad the year end company bonus covered most of it.

I only buy for my mom. Which is usually either bath stuff, perfume, or a $100 gift card. This year is $3.50 but it’s a beautiful card.

I have a rather large extended family, so I spend quite a bit. Gifts are tiered. Parents get $x in my budget. Siblings and siblings-in-law get $x-25%. Nieces and nephews get $x-50%. It's a formula I've used for many years, and I'm usually able to come in under budget for the extended family. For my hubby and kids, well, some years I'm on budget, but some years I'm over. *sigh*
I feel terrible. Money is very tight this year so we have had to reduce gifts down to £35 a head.
I've squirrelled some money away to be able to treat the mother, uncle and Mrs out to lunch and to see The Last Jedi, plus was sensible enough to put a few bottles of good wine aside over the course of the year, but it doesn't feel enough.

I'm sorry that things are tight for you this year. I've had holidays like that, and I know how crummy it feels. I've found that focusing on the experience of being together matters more than the tangible presents. I think you see that, too. Those who love you will understand and will appreciate whatever you are able to give them. They want to be with you much more than they want you to spend money on them.

I save as much as I can throughout the year, and then I use it to buy Christmas gifts for my immediate family. This year, that topped out around $200. When I worked for DELL, and had a regular income, that number was easily $1000-$1500.
I use a similar method. I usually spend more per person for a family member; e.g. siblings, youngest nephew, and parents each get up to $50. My other nieces and nephews are all grown up and have jobs, so I don't bother to shop for them anymore.
Close friends each get up to $50, while colleagues and others get $25. I opened a credit union account last year, into which I deposit a certain amount per pay period. It has helped me save up money for the holidays.
I have no wrapping to do in the morning. I just have to write a couple of cards and make some cookie deliveries. 
Up to 500. I did buy a new phone for myself which I'm paying installments for though. Basically did all my shopping with the Amazon Prime trial this year.
