Do you like buying games? Owning them? Games that you don't have the time (or even inclination in some cases) to play? Maybe with some games you like the idea of playing them, the theoretical ability to play them, more than actually playing them? Maybe you just like to support certain developers?

If one or more of these things applies to you, then you most likely have a backlog, and maybe it even contains some things you actively plan to get into (or back into).

For instance, here's my backlog of recent purchases that I actually want to play at some point. I tried to collect them in a Google Doc but it's still very much work in progress, I keep forgetting stuff that I bought.

It's kind of a nightmare-ish proposition with limited free time.

Do you guys have a backlog? Maybe a shelf of shame? Games still shrink-wrapped? Do you need lists to keep track? Do you play several games concurrently or do you prefer playing them back-to-back?

I have quite a few games that I've bought and mean to finish but haven't. (All PC). I haven't bought any that I've not actually started yet

Off the top of my head:-

    Turok
    Shadow Warrior
    Neverwinter Nights
Dragon Age Inquisition (Trespasser) - but I've run into a bug that I can't get past at the moment so it's on hold for that.
    Halo 2
    Witcher
    Star Trek
Modern Warfare 2 (last of the CODs I've bought so far)
Alien Vs Predator (the 2010ish one)
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic
    Space Marine

I also don't think I've finished KOTOR 1 yet either.

They'll be more but I can't think of them at the moment. Some of those may date back to Amiga days too:lol:

I don't have a backlog. I buy a game, play it, and then buy something else to play. I might have 2-3 games going on once (different genres), but no backlog.

Right now I'm playing Shantae: Risky's Revenge which is about a 4 hour long game and I have no idea what I'm playing next. I'll figure that out when I beat it.

Yep. Too many. I'm trying to whittle them down this year. Yep. Have one over on Backloggery to do just that. The former, but I'm trying to focus on one at a time so I can get it done.

Yeah I've got a bunch of stuff on Steam from several humble bundles and sales I've yet to get around to. Indeed, because of this I made a point *not* to buy anything in the recent Christmas sales...That said had Alien Isolation been a bit cheaper, I probably would have gone for it regardless. ;)

    Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Assassin's Creed: Revelations - Signature Edition
    Assassin's Creed III
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - Target Edition
    Assassin's Creed: Rogue

I've only really played the first one, still not done. I've started the others, 'cause I got 'em used & needed to make sure they work. GameStop bundle deal, ya know...

    Bioshock 2
    Bioshock Infinite

Finished the story for the first one, still workin' through the two sequels.

    Dead Island Riptide
    Escape Dead Island

Still playin' the first in the series, just started it a couple of days ago.

Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition - GameStop Exclusive
Fallout New Vegas - Ultimate Edition - GameStop Exclusive

Bought 'em on Black Friday from GameStop.

    Gears of War
    Gears of War 2
    Gears of War 3
    Gears of War: Judgment

Another used bundle deal from GameStop. Playin' the first one, still haven't gotten to the sequels.

    Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
    Halo 3 - Platinum Hits
    Halo 3: ODST
    Halo: Reach - Platinum Hits
    Halo 4

I can't play these, 'cause my nephew already has & any time I even think "Halo" loudly, he comes into the room & asks if I need help.

    Hellboy: The Science of Evil

Only been through the first level, took like two hours. Holy crap!

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - Legend
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - Anniversary
    Tomb Raider: Underworld
    Tomb Raider

Played a bit of each one, haven't finished any of 'em.

Red Dead Redemption / Undead Nightmare - Game of the Year Edition

Used a birthday coupon for this one, not too far into it, I don't think...how can ya tell?

    Star Trek

I keep startin' & quittin' this game.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Platinum Hits
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II - Platinum Hits

Played the first one on the Wii, started it again on my xbox 360. Haven't gotten to the sequel yet.

    ^

I'll be replayin' the first Bioshock later, to see how the endin' may change with harvestin' the Little Sisters instead of savin' 'em.

If memory serves, the first time I tried it I had an issue with the sound. I think it's ok now though.

I've also noticed another and I'm going to try that when I have a spare minute - Alpha Protocol.

Hmm, I bought Fallout 4 but got diverted when the hubby downloaded the Mass Effect trilogy for me as a Christmas present. So I'm working my way through those for the millionth time instead of immersing myself again in Fallout.

I also have the Halo collection (I believe it came with the Xbox when I bought it a year ago!) which is awaiting my attention. I also have Watch Dogs somewhere.

I got the Gears of War collection free when I bought the HD version, so I have 2, 3 and Judgement to play as well, but I've completed these years ago already.

As I wrote in previous topic, my favourite video game is the Star Trek Elite Force II.. A borg cube attacks, the sounds in the game and the graphic that makes the return to the past of the computer video games are so fantastic, it`s a nice sequel to Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force. I played both of these games ;) And I`m a great fan of the Star Trek, I even started t develop our own game with my friends with the design of the Star Trek slotswww.slotozilla.com/free-slots/star-trek like it is here, and then I`ll start to develop more serious games not only for the slot machines... Want to create thread for Star Trek game ideas to collect the best reviews and the suggestions about further actions with it..))

Gotta go through all the Kingdom Hearts games before Kingdom Hearts III comes out. Going in in-universe chronological order. Pace: ridiculously slow. I also have a game of CIV V I need to finish as China.

I'm way behind, I still have Gamecube games like Zelda and Fire Emblem I have never opened. More recently I have Kirby and Yoshi's New Island and Bravely Default and Mario Tennis and a few other 3DS games.

Many games on Steam and Gog that I haven't found time to play yet. I mostly play older stuff that's cheap, especially on sale, so free time is a scarcer resource than the few $$ the games cost.

Posting my backlog list would produce enough scrolling to give people reading it a wrist cramp, so I will spare you. Let's just say it's long.

I can take Tomb Raider (2013) off my backlog! I finished the storyline the other night, 97% complete overall!
