Your favourite Motorways / Highways / Autobahnen etc.

Pacific Coast Highway, when it's right next to the ocean. Top down in my friend's BMW Z3. There is no better driving experience.

I still have a soft spot for the independent Tebay Services (a.k.a. Westmorland) on the northern segment of the M6....
Ironically, despite the attractive scenery in that area, it's my least favourite part of the M6 to drive through, as the car's radio signal apart from long wave is extremely poor. I've nicknamed that part of the M6 "Radio Silence Valley". :p

A lot of the British countryside is just gorgeous to drive through... but the motorway stops are really bad... most of the time, you wish you hadn't. :p

I loved Italy for the fantastic coffee and cigar stops.

Germany for the divine beer and Salami stops.

It's all about the treats along the way which complete the driving experience... I usually need music and something to munch on... makes the world of difference. :p :D

I frequently drive between Eindhoven and Nijmegen across the A50 highway. Which is a really good road, it is practically a 40km long racetrack!

AMEN!:D

The last time I was in LA, I did that drive on Saturday morning with the sunroof and all the windows open in my rental HHR. Only thing that would have been better would have been a ragtop.

^^^Oh dude, i know all about the 5. There's nothing special about it here. It just happens to be the main north-south artery for the whole damn state.

That sounds wonderful! I'm lucky that my friend has a BMW Z3 Roadster. Awesome little car to cruise down. :D

I quite like a stretch of the E18 that goes here from Norrtelje towards Stockholm. The best bit is from Norrtelje and down to Söderhall, then it turns into one of those wired lane crap roads. Before that it's big, open, safe, just curvy enough and lots of fun going fast.

I'm also quite partial to the new strech of highway between Åkersberga and Häggvik. Got a nice tunnel there where I gotta rev my Camaro in once I get it. And can't go without mentioning the bit of the E4 that goes trough Stockholm. At day the scenery is great as you go trough tunnels and over bridges trough Stockholm, at summer nights it's fantastic to go fast with the windows down trough the tunnels.

God I want my new car now.
