Your favorite Jeff Bridges movies

I'm very happy to see "Starman" getting so much love in this thread. My favourite John Carpenter movie after "Halloween". It was nice to see Karen Allen in a top quality movie outside of the Indiana Jones series too. She and Bridges were delightful together.

Tron
Starman - Many times I have quoted 'Get. Gas'. and 'Red Light go very fast' after that movie.
King Kong(1976) - Never Understood the bad rep
The Vanishing
The Big Lebowski
Iron Man

And soon...

TRON LEGACY and TRUE GRIT!

I must see Crazy Heart. Is it worth a trip to the movies, or wait till Blu Ray?

Haven't seen too many of his movies, but of the ones I have seen, I really liked

The Big Lebowski
King Kong
Iron Man- Technically not "his" movie, but I thought he did an awesome job

The Big Lebowski

Awesome performance, especially when you do some research on the character The Dude was based on.

I liked him in "Iron Man" as well, especially when he gets furious at the scientist for not being able to do what Tony Stark could do with far fewer resources. :)

"Tony Stark built this in a cave! From a box of scraps!!!"

"Well, I'm sorry...I'm not Tony Stark."

 Great scene...and the scientist was Peter Billingsley! Ralphie from A Christmas Story.

For me, gotta' go with The Big Lebowski, TRON, Iron Man, Tucker, The Fabulous Baker Boys, StarMan, The Fisher King...

Oh my gosh that's funny... and awesome!

Although if not for the Stark Industries thing on the missle, I'd say you were holding a baseball bat or a very big dong LOL

Very cool. The Dude would have abided that.

I've only seen 4 movies with Jeff Bridges in them:

TRON
Starman
K-PAX
Iron Man

It's been so long since I've seen TRON that I don't really remember it.
I thought Starman was pretty good.
K-PAX was ok, I suppose.
Iron Man was good fun.

My favorite would have to be Iron Man, though the best one is Starman.

It's odd, I like Jeff Bridges as an actor, but I've seen very few of his films. Tron and The Big Lebowski are the two I know him best for. I also liked K-Pax.

Oh my gosh that's funny... and awesome!

Thanks!

:D

I shaved my head that day, and used the hair so my ex roommate could glue the beard on.

I used Jeff Bridge's Stane promo photo for the Stark Industries ID badge, and changed the barcode number to spell out (if ya use the numbers & a phone keypad) "IRON MONGER".

Although if not for the Stark Industries thing on the missle, I'd say you were holding a baseball bat or a very big dong LOL

Very cool. The Dude would have abided that.

Its a blueprint carrier thing a ma jig I got from Best Buy at the midnight doorbuster they had for IRON MAN on DVD. They advertised that a superhero costume contest would be held, and I was the only one to show up in costume, so I won by default.

Go me & my Primatech Paper ID Badge.

:techman:

I think he should have won Best Supporting Actor for The Contender.

He was brilliant in that. His speech at the end was legendary, IMHO.

this list leaves out obvious movies many have likely seen or are very familiar with like The Big Lebowski

Oh, alright,
The Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski

Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski
Oh. Can't argue with that.

Uh.

Um.

Put me down for Gutterballs. There, I's different.
