With all the stuff about the Fez and the upcoming stetson, what are some of your other favorite hats the Doctor has worn?
I'm no expert on different hats and pics don't seem to be working, so I'll try to describe them as best as possible.
The Doctor was wearing a hat in his very first appearence, sort of a cold weather hat. Hartnell would wear this a few other times, most notably in the War Machines.
The Second Doctor had a sort of strange, tall hat which he only wore a few times (Although merchandise often potrayed him wearing it). He also wore a cold weather hat in Fury From The Deep, and I'm pretty sure he wore a few disguises with hats.
The Third Doctor briefly wore a few hats in Spearhead From Space but I'm pretty sure he retired that look.
The Fourth Doctor of course had the floppy hat which he wore for most of the Hinchcliffe era, and less around the time of the Graham Williams era, although a new burgundy hat did appear again here and there during his final season. He also wore a Sherlock Holmes style hat in the Doyle homage "Talons of Weng-Chiang".
The fifth Doctor had a regular hat, which he mostly wore in his first season, and later in Time Crash.
The Sixth Doctor, as far as I can recall, never wore any hats.
The Seventh Doctor wore a panama hat nearly all the time.
The Eighth Doctor nearly wore a hat, but decided against it shortly after regenerating. The 'new look' Mcgann doesn't have a hat either.
Eccleston didn't wear a hat I remember either, except for that photo in "Rose".
Tennant of course had the pink paper crown in "Christmas Invasion" (Smith later would use that again recently) and the hat in "End of Time".
