All the dvd's ever made. And the ones to be made in the future.

All classic and obscure but awesome pieces of film noir

All Nouvelle Vague films of interest, which includes the full filmographies of Jean-Luc Godard, Jean-Piere Melville and François Roland Truffaut

All Italian Gialli and poliziotteschi that were made in the '60s - '70s

About 200 westerns and spaghetti westerns

All films starring Jimmy Stewart, Bogart and James Coburn

The entire SHAW BROTHERS collection

All films released by the MONDO MACABRO label

Most films released by BLUE UNDERGROUND and similar labels

The entire CRITERION COLLECTION

Charlie Jade (unfortunately it's not available in Region 1 - only 2)

Disorderly Conduct: Video on Patrol :D

Everything Trek-related (all of TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise, plus the feature films - *director's cuts*, not theatrical editions) on Blu-Ray

Offhand, I would love to have Raumpatrouille Orion and Blake's 7 on region 1 dvd.

Honestly, I already own everything that I want. That is if it's already been released. The thing I really want at the moment is extended cuts of the Lord of the Rings on Blu-ray.

The director's cut of Hard Target.

Is there such a beast?

Anyway--I already have most of the DVDs I want, aside from a few bits and bobs.

I am missing a few films noirs, such as The Lady from Shanghai, Night and the City, and Pickup on South Street. Plus I am still waiting for some to be released on DVD.

I have Hard Boiled, but I need The Killer.

And I'm planning to buy more opera on DVD.

But that's about it, aside from new releases.

In fact, I have already culled my collection more than once. It's probably 20-30 per cent smaller than it was at its height.

I've found that I hardly buy any DVDs these days, so I guess my current collection is more or less what I want. Having said that, I'd love to have Ranma 1/2 (which I find amusingly silly in a very good way) on DVD rather than relying on other formats to watch it, but I don't think it's available on R2.

Encino Man
Jury Duty
In the Army Now
Biodome
Son in Law
Kiss of Death
Jade
CSI: Miami Seasons 1-7
Spiceworld (Blu-Ray)

I'm in the same boat. I buy the occasional new release (mostly used, unless it's something I really want on day 1). Also there are still some expensive box sets I want (like all of Star Trek besides DS9, which I got on sale) but for the most part I have everything I want.

It would be too hard, long, and tedious to name all the DVDs I'm proud of, but I can say that for a series Enterprise is the best PACKAGED looking series I have then my ST: TOS packaging is cool too.

I already have my dream collection. Just a handful of tv series that are not shown on tv anymore or rarely. Most other stuff I can see on TCM uncut or just borrow from someone. I cant see having a humongous collection that I probably will never get to view more than once before I die.:lol:

I own almost everything I want.

The question for me is whether I want to get a Blu-Ray player.

I'm certainly not gonna rebuy most of my collection.

Do Blu-Ray players upconvert normal DVDs? That'd be about the only reason for me to get one... and of course all the new movies that come out on BD.

But I've found that there are very few movies coming out now that I actually want to own.

I have almost all my favorite TV shows on DVD.

Star Trek, TNG, DS9, The X-Files, Buffy, Angel, Transformers, Robotech, Batman TAS, Justice League...
