Your best Trek quotes

"They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!" Jean-Luc Picard, Star Trek: First Contact

That was oddly the first quote that came to my head. Though dozens are now circling.. I'll give you the top three that have stuck with me for various reasons...

"We've grown apart, the lot of us. We didn't mean for it to happen; but it did. The war changed us, pulled us apart. Lisa Cusack was my friend. But you are also my friends, and I want my friends in my life. Because someday we're gonna wake up, and we're gonna find that someone is missing from this circle. And on that day, we're gonna mourn, and we shouldn't have to mourn alone."
-Miles O'Brien, 'The Sound of her Voice'

"It takes courage to look inside yourself, and even more courage to write it for other people to see. I'm proud of you, son"
-Benjamin Sisko, 'Nor the battle to the strong'

"For that one fraction of a second, you were open to options you had never considered. That is the exploration that awaits you. Not mapping stars and studying nebula, but charting the unknown possibilities of existence."
-Q, 'All Good Things'

Apologies if it's not word for word correct, but I quite like this one.

Garak: But Commander, that extortion!
*Sisko looks off into space, seemingly contemplating something, then looks back at him*
Sisko (calmly): Yes it is

Second Skin: Star Trek Deep Space Nine

I like the way this little exchange demonstrates how honestly Machivellian (sp?) Sisko can be when he wants to be, and not afraid to admit it :) There are other examples, but this is the probably the shortest such example.

"You've put on weight...and your hair is going grey."
"My... deterioration is proceeding apace."
"I thought you would be in your grave by now."
(laughing) "I shall endeavor to die, this year, if possible."
- Sirella and Martok, upon Sirella's arrival at Deep Space 9 -You Are Cordially Invited

I have always found that one to be hilarious. Or if you don't like that one, there's always this one:

"We are Klingons, Worf. We don't embrace other cultures, we conquer them."
-Martok, You Are Cordially Invited

"Four hundred years ago, a victorious general spoke the following words at the end of another costly war: 'Today the guns are silent. A great tragedy has ended... we have known the bitterness of defeat and the exultation of triumph, and from both we have learned there can be no going back. We must move forward to preserve in peace what we've won in war'." - William Ross, quoting Douglas MacArthur - What You Leave Behind

"Jim, I'm your doctor and I'm also your friend. Get back your command! Get it back before you turn into part of this collection, before you really do grow old."
-McCoy, Star Trek II.

"Young. I feel young."
-Kirk, Star Trek II

"What does it mean, 'exact change?'"
-Spock, Star Trek IV

"Sir, you stand relieved."
"I am relieved."
-Kirk and Pike, Star Trek (2009)

"Since my customary farewell would seem self-serving, I will simply say 'Good luck'"
-Spock prime, Star Trek (2009)

Honestly - the one I love the most...

"Life forms... di di di di tiny little life forms di di di di you precious little life forms *clicks and claps* where are you?"

^^^ so many great one here I'd forgotten but this one is for the ages!!!

Star Trek II

Spock to Kirk "I may be so bold, it was a mistake for you to accept promotion. Commanding a starship is your first, best destiny; anything else is a waste of material."

Picard: "Mr. Data, I would be delighted to offer any advice I can on understanding women. When I have some, I'll let you know."

"No, I'm from Iowa. I only work in outer space." - Kirk to Gillian in STIV: The Voyage Home

Dr. Boyce: Sometimes a man will say things to his bartender he'll never say to his doctor.

Capt. Pike: Now you're starting to sound like a doctor, bartender.
Dr. Boyce: Take your pick. We both get the same two kinds of customers: The living, and the dying.

That shows what a great start Trek was off to, way back at the very beginning!

My all time favorite:

[Garak takes a drink of root beer]
Quark: What do you think?
Elim Garak: It's vile.
Quark: I know. It's so bubbly and cloying and happy.
Elim Garak: Just like the Federation.
Quark: And you know what's really frightening? If you drink enough of it, you begin to like it.
Elim Garak: It's insidious.
Quark: Just like the Federation.

:D

And, in the short & sweet department:

Worf: FIND him and KILL him!

Worf
(again): Death to the opposition!

And to acknowledge some favorites already spoken for:

I´ve found that Evil usually triumphs – unless Good is very, very careful
L. McCoy (The Omega Glory)

"You should have killed me. There's only one Damar."
"I will keep that in mind." -
Damar and Worf

"So this is a huge victory for the good guys! This may even be the turning point of the entire war. There's even a "Welcome to the Fight" party tonight in the wardroom. So...I lied. I cheated. I bribed men to cover the crimes of other men. I am an accessory to murder. But the most damning thing of all...I think I can live with it. And if I had to do it all over again, I would. Garak was right about one thing: a guilty conscience is a small price to pay for the safety of the Alpha Quadrant. So I will learn to live with it. Because I can life with. I can live with it.

Computer, erase that entire personal log." - Captain Benjamin Sisko, Deep Space Nine, In the Pale Moonlight

Star Trek IV
Kirk "Oh, him? He's harmless. Part of the free speech movement at Berkeley in the sixties. I think he did a little too much LDS."

"Damn it Jim! I'm begining to think I can cure a rainy day."

Leonard McCoy M.D.

TOS episode...Devil in the dark.

"If you were any other man. I would kill you where you stand."

Worf...First Contact.

"I have guards around the grain, I have gaurds around the Klingons. The only reason those guards are there is because Star Fleet want's them there. As for you want..."

James T. Kirk

TOS epsiode...The trouble with Tribbles.

Also from Tribbles:

Kirk: "You should sell an instruction and maintenance manual with this thing."
Jones: "If I did, what would happen to man's search for knowledge?"

Baris: "In my opinion you have taken this entire very important project far too lightly!"
Kirk: "On the contrary, sir, I think of this project as very important. It is you I take lightly."

Garak: So everything I told you was the truth.
Bashier: Even the lies?
Garak: Especially the lies.

Garak: I believe in coincidence. I just don't trust coincidence.

too many to remember!

1) Brain... brain... what is brain?!?!

2) Data: I hate this!
Guinan: More?
Data: Please.

3) Kira: I suppose you want the office.

4) Sulu: Don't call me tiny!

5) Kirk: Why does god need a starship?

6) Sulu: Fencing.

and there's more where all those came from...
