Your appearance

I love that... and I feel the same way. I don't dress to impress anyone but myself.

Same here which is why I sometimes wear really nice clothes even if I'm not going out. It makes me feel good.
I've got like, three levels of clothes. I've got my regular clothes which are decent but nothing special, then I've got regular clothes which are nice clothes that I tend to save for anytime I'm going out, and then the really nice clothes for actual like event things.

For people who are ugly/think they're ugly here's a little hope for you. I know a woman, she's 21, and, to be honest, she's hideous. Almost offensive to look at. And yet she has a really handsome boyfriend. Looks do matter but some people manage to see beyond them.

She may be ugly to you but she is attractive to this guy and maybe alot of guys.

Here is how I feel; Not only am I ugly and unattractive to women...I look at myself and want to die as I said because how I look doesn't represent how I feel on the inside. :(

Even having girlfriends in the past...doesn't change the fact I despise how I look...don't even know why I was born to be honest.

To be honest, some days I like how I look, some days I don't. However, my GF's mom remarked how I was a cutie, so I'll take what I can get.

Like Holdy said, appearences can be changed - even physical appearences.

It's the same thing with reaching any other goal, there are steps you need to take.

First, define the end result - exactly what you want.
Second, define steps you need to take to get there.
Third, take those steps.

And, mostly, you really need to change the way you think.

One thing that helped me was the realization that assuming everyone thinks you're ugly is just as egotistical as someone who assumes everyone thinks they're beautiful.

Do you notice the looks of every, single person you encounter every day?

Chances are, most people don't notice you, either.

And the ones that would, are immediately put off by your hermit-like attitude.

1-Yes, I do notice the looks of every single person I encounter...doesn't everybody?

2-Hermit-like attitude??? I am usually friendly and stuff with people when I am out.

It's not that I think everyone thinks I'm ugly...I know I am ugly.

Doing stuff to change it...it would cost alot of money I don't have and at this point will never have given my current situation.

I didn't mean "hermit-like" attitude to mean ... unfriendly or offputting. But, ... most people I know who feel ... less than attractive, have a way of ... attempting to make themselves very small and unnoticable. You've got to stand up straight, pick your head up and look everyone in the eye.

And, no, not everyone notices everyone else's appearence. In fact, if everyone notices anything about everyone else, it's on a purely subconcious level and that would be less about looks and more about the self-confidence one exudes or lacks.

Either way, one can appear intelligent, regardless of his/her facial features or body weight.

In the post you quoted, I thought it was obvious that that was what I was talking about.

It's not that I think everyone thinks I'm ugly...I know I am ugly.

Really? You know the preferences of everyone single person on the planet?

It has nothing to do with what other people think...it is what I know to be true.

[edit] I don't do anything to make myself feel small or unnoticeable.

There's your problem.

That I know I am ugly? Or I don't do enough to make my self unnoticeable?
