Your appearance

I think appearance is important only in so far as how clean and tidy you keep yourself. Nothing beyond that should affect how others treat you, but of course, it doesn't always work out that way. In that case, it's my job to overcome initial assumptions.

How do I feel about my own appearance? I feel more comfortable as I have gotten older. And how do others treat me based on my appearance? That's a mixed bag. I try not to get bogged down in what others think of me. Like the lady says: "What you think about me is none of my business". :D

I only ever wear jogging bottoms in bed when its cold I never wear jogging bottoms in public.

Not even to go jogging?

They weep silently at night for never getting to fulfil their primary objective, you know.
For all you know I have a treadmill:shifty::guffaw:

Treadmills frighten me. They remind me of the existential emptiness of life. You keep running, but just keep standing still, until you end up dying of a heart attack... and in the meantime, there's always some fucker who sneaks up on you and increases the speed and incline when you're not looking. ;)

The treadmill IS the job. (cue Twilight Zone music)

Personally, I'm looking for the life that most closely parallels a sauna. Hot, steamy and plenty of naked chicks.

(I sense an entire book waiting to be written riffing on the analogies between various items/rooms in a gym and life in general...)

Must admit I prefer swimming to running.
All the people I see jogging look like they are about to have a heart attack.

I'm sorry but are you one of my other personalities that I am not yet aware of?? :shifty:

Me? I'm 5'8", 115 lbs. I eat a lot, I don't gain weight, and although I could get toned really easily I just never get around to it... :p

I've got some height and weight on you, and I'm one year older. 5'10 120 pounds and 21 years old.

Maybe...I am the future you.. I've traveled back in time(a whole year?) That or a alternate universe you. :D
A few months, I'll be 21 in July. :) For the extra height you have I'd say that might be what makes the extra weight, we probably have a very similar body type. And if you are indeed future or alternate universe me, then you must be damn good looking. :bolian:

I am often told, that I am not nearly as simple-minded and homely looking...
as people thought I was, at first.

- TOO often!

WAY TOO OFTEN!!!

Honest.

However, it takes me many hours of hard work, and meticulous planing to achieve
this strikingly mediocre appearance. All this natural beauty is difficult to disguise.
(But, unexceptional looks, knows no pain!!!)

Little do people realize, that this is all just part of my covert plan
to take them off-guard, and steal their friendship. :)

I'm wearing black socks with sandals. You do the math.

Very sexy. If you are into Geeky/SMART!!!
No future sunburn/melanomas on the tops of your footsies. :)

Do you know that this is how the ancient Greeks and Romans actually wore theirs.
Julies Cesar wore socks under his sandals!!!
Archeologist were amazed, and relieved, to find this out.
(they are usually very Geeky/Nerdy/SEXY people, as well. ;))

As agent Dr. Dana Katherine Scully said, "Smart is sexy"!

I like my appearance now because it's what I want it to be, not what someone else wants it to me and not what society tells me I should look like. In fact to many people, how I dress and behave would seem contrived, silly, effeminate or god know what other adjectives! Point is, in the opinion of the only person who matters - me - I like how I look when I catch a glimpse in the shop window. In fact, I often take a second look. ;)
This is a wonderful mindset, and is exactly how I feel. The problem is that it works against me. I'm my own cruelest critic!

I love that... and I feel the same way. I don't dress to impress anyone but myself. I don't follow trends or fashion. I get an idea in my head about a shirt or something and then I look until I find it. (I have a lot of clothes from second hand stores.) When I walk into a room, I am just me, nothing more nothing less. Most of the time I just blunder through and don't care what other folks think. So far I have had few complaints.

As for my physical appearance, I think I am ordinary and I fine with that. I am short. I have broken my nose twice. I have a front tooth that is a little crooked. My hair is a bit wild. I have big feet and no butt. But I am happy with all of it. :bolian: The only thing I would change is the pudge creeping up on me in the front but age is working faster than I can on the treadmill.

You are a very attractive guy. :D I wouldn't say "ordinary".
