your 5 fav 70s shows

What are your five favorite TV shows from the 1970s...those of you old enough to have lived through the 70s...

Mine, in no particular order;

Hawaii Five-0
Mash (first three years)
How the West Was Won (The Mcahans)
All in the Family
The Six Million Dollar Man/Bionic Woman

Yes, I left out many great shows...but these were the five that I liked a lot. Some of them are guilty pleasures, and may not have been as historic as Marty Tyler Moore (which I liked)...but I liked them..and thats what this thread is about...there can be no right or right answers..these are the shows YOU liked...

Rob
Scorpio

How the West was won
Battlestar Galactica
M*A*S*H
Man from Atlantis
CHiPs

And many many more...

The Bob Newhart Show
The Mary Tyler Moore Show
MASH
Six Million Dollar Man
Battlestar Galactica

Sanford & Son
Welcome Back Kotter
Starsky & Hutch
Soap
Good Times

I'd list Three's Company but it ran until 1984. Listing I Dream of Jeannie would feel like cheating since it ended in 1970.

The Rockford Files
The Bob Newhart Show
Emergency!
WKRP in Cincinnati
Barney Miller

Honorable mention to Kolchak: The Night Stalker, but it barely lasted a season, and the movies were better. Also, Taxi I probably liked better than Barney Miller, but to me I associate it more with the early '80s.

Um... Fawlty Towers. And that's all I've got. Not a huge fan of the 70s, I suppose.

All In the Family - at the time, perhaps the most groundbreaking TV show EVER.
The Rockford Files
M*A*S*H
Marcus Welby, M.D.

The Partridge Family - I have fond memories of this show because David Cassidy was my first childhood crush. Well, after Spock, that is.

  1. The Carol Burnette Show
  2. The Muppet Show
  3. All In The Family
  4. The Six Million Dollar Man
  5. The Secrets of Isis (Watching it now on DVD I can't believe how campy the show was. She fought off a bear that was obviously a man in a bear-ish looking costume)

Wonder Woman
Battlestar Galactica
WKRP in Cincinatti
The Muppet Show
Electra Woman and Dyna Girl...okay, I didn't even know it existed until the 90's...so...
SOAP (recall watching it with the folks and probably not getting it)

No love for Alice?

Good, what an awful, awful show...;)

Well in the 70s I was somewhere between -2 and -12 which doesn't equal being alive so.......not much:

The Bionic Woman
Mobile Suit Gundam
The Six Million Dollar Man
Space 1999

Space: 1999
Battlestar Galactica
Night Gallery
M*A*s*H*
Fantastic Journey

A runner-up would be Cliffhangers. It was a show that was set up like the old serials. It had 3 parts to every episode:The Curse of Dracula, Stop Susan Williams and The Secret Empire.

Does anyone else remember this show?
