not sure on the origins of the current DCnU Superboy, but the 90's era (leather jacket and shades) had his entire genetic structure chronometrically frozen (yeah, honest lol), so his entire body would remain 'time locked' at his current age...

Superman's lifespan varies depending on which version of DC continuity you're talking about. The pre-Crisis Superman was assumed to be basically immortal, but I think post-Crisis Superman has/had a more finite lifespan, given that he was visibly older in the future of Kingdom Come, which was only something like 40 years ahead. (Similarly the DC Animated Universe Superman, who had visibly aged by the time of Batman Beyond.)
And this is a new continuity all its own, so its creators can posit whatever they want about the life expectancy of a yellow-sun-augmented Kryptonian.
pre-reboot Earth 2 Superman also looked visibly older.
He still looked considerably younger than Commissioner Wayne.
(In John Byrnes Generations, Clark Kent had to wear make up to simulate ageing, but I'm not positive if Superman kept up the same ruse so as not to scare John Q public.)

This new season reminds me of Alias Season 3 in concept. Time jump, everybody we know is in a different position, some new faces and a slow reveal of the past continuity.

In the comics, yes Earth-2 Superman from Pre-Crisis was growing older. He had some grey in his hair.
On the "He's immortal side," we find out in DC: One Million that our Superman, leaves Earth in the care of his heir, Superman Secundus, after Lois dies. In the 700th Century he returns and enters his new "Fortress of Solitude" (We call it "Sol"). In the 853rd Century, he emerges and is rejoined with a clone of Lois and goes to live on "New Krypton."
However, as previously stated, in Kingdom Come, he was aging as a normal human, and was similar to Earth-2 Superman in that regard. Interestingly enough, though he is older, this also makes him more formidable, as Kryptonite no longer affects him.
There was also a time around 2000 when Superman and Wonder Woman spent 1,000 years in another dimension fighting against evil. I guess you could claim that it was the dimension which kept him young, but there's no evidence one way or another.
It seems that, when pressed, unless it's Elseworlds, Superman will stay relatively young as long as he can continue to absorb yellow solar radiation. In addition, we've also seen how he'll become more powerful due to the years of exposure to said solar radiation.
A "Captain Ersatz" version, Mr. Majestic, has been alive for thousands of years as of the late 20th/early 21st Century. According to an Alan Moore story, he is present at the death of the universe, as everything cools down to absolute zero. While a Kherbium, instead of a Kryptonian, I include him due to the fact that Jim Lee always intended for him to be an Ersatz-Superman.

In One million, maybe Superman's immortality had more to do with the fact that he was LIVING ON THE SUN which made his tissue regeneration capacity 93 million times more potent than it is when he's on Earth?
Keep in mind though that he went wandering the universe until the 700th century. So he was pretty immortal even before he took up residence in the sun.
Also...All Star Superman posits that Superman is immortal (though it could be considered a prequel to One Million).

I'll admit I'm not the most versed with Adam Strange but he seems really out of character in Young Justice. Unlike most adults on YJ though he's actually less barrel-chested stoic and heroic here.

While it's debatable if he actually died at the end, he definitely didn't die of old age.
What a badass episode! Loved seeing the League proper in action, the Bat team is awesome and I dig seeing WW with some guns. Black Manta! Didn't see that coming, great reveal. I thought that Superman moment with the bomb was very nicely in character, I don't get how people can find that side of him weak. Anyone get a Men in Black moment during the intro? As you can tell I was quite pleased with that one.
