You know you've seen too much ST when...

WarsTrek1993

Captain
Captain
I don't know if there is a thread like this, but I thought I might start one with a few:

You often say "fascinating" when you hear something interesting.
You say "Bridge" when entering an elevator.
You actually want to name a pet after a trek character. (ie: A cat named Thelin...)
When wearing a long-sleeve shirt, you often tug at it (like Picard).

Anyone else?

When... you are familiar with every Star Trek reference made on The Big Bang Theory.
;)

Well I for one enter lifts not elevators :p , curiously it seems as if by the era ST is set in the UK term become the norm.

I had a dog named Spock for two days (my mom actually returned my dog to the pet store... cause me and my sister kind of skipped school and bought him on our own... but yeah...) I told that to Leonard Nimoy back in the day and he laughed. :D

Before getting into an accident you yell "ALL HANDS! BRACE FOR IMPACT!!!"

When discovering your car has a coolant leak, you yell "COOLANT LEAK!" and do a dramatic roll out from under your car.

"Helm, set a course for 237.43. White Castle. Full impulse."

Every time the vehicle you're in comes up behind another vehicle, you feel compelled to shout, "Prepare for RAMMING SPEED!"

You say "Damn it, Jim, I'm a [Insert job title] not a [whatever is relevant at the time]!"

Or if you hear a really loud alarm you shout out "Red alert! Shields up!"

When you know every espiode by name and can recite every line.
You tried to join the Navy just so you could serve aboard the Enterprise
You recognize more than 4 references on this list.
Forgetting that present-day elevators don't have voice interface

...you hear a really loud alarm you shout out "Red alert! Shields up!"

The fire alarm system where I work actually uses the klaxon sound effect played in classic Trek, I swear to Mogg! It cycles three times and then a feminine voice clamly announces one should exit the building in an orderly fashion. (No, it doesn't sound like Majel Barrett.) Then the klaxon cycles again.

First time it happened, I thought, "You gotta' be kidding me! Who uses that SFX in real life?!"

Sincerely,

Bill

Guilty! [raises hand]
My brother was the first of us to watch TBBT. I started watching because he'd call me to ask what [reference of the week] meant. The good news is, he is now a Trek fan (ST09 and Enterprise... "the one with the NASA uniforms").

... if you now think Janeway looks hot!:rommie:
