You know what I said to my computer monitor as Reaper concluded?

"Go fuck yourself".

it wasn't a bad ending, but these peolpe knew they were canceled for ages and ages and ages that if they wanted to end it on a downer they could heve have ended it on a real down and not this...

So bland.

:(

Yeah, that was kind of dumb. Its almost like they didn't completely finish editing before they just shut off the lights and left the studio.

Their is a chance the show will come back. Wasn't there a thread about this not to long ago. I forget the reasons why it would be coming back(beisdes it being a great show) but I can see them maybe having some hope it would return. Besides i don't see how it was such a bad ending. It's ovious that Heaven is on Sam and his girlfriends side.

There are chances of it coming back. Supposedly SciFi was in negotiations but that was unlikely. The best chance was syndication. ABC makes the show and right now they have the only scripted show in Syndication with Legend of the Seeker doing very well. Supposedly they are trying to pair the two shows together and rumors were a lot of CW station were interested, since they now have Sunday nights free to program with Syndication. The rumor was that its basically up to Tribune as the biggest CW affailiate group. If they pick it up itll probably go into syndication, but not guarenteed. If they don't get it, its almost definetly dead.

Anyway, I didn't feel like the ending was truly a down. It seems almost like it was meant to fake you out as a downer, but the last scene was supposed to indicate a change. All the angels seems to indicate god has a plan for Sam, at least to me.

Well that was obviously intended as a cliffhanger, just not a very interesting one. Maybe they don't want us to be too disapointed if it doesn't return? ;)

Perhaps they thought the scene had more gravitas than it did?

When the screen went black at the end I was totally taken aback, I was fully expecting another scene :vulcan: A sad way to end a really fun series.

these peolpe knew they were canceled for ages and ages and ages

Ummm.... no they didn't, maybe you should look up the facts.

The episode was made ages and ages and ages ago long before they knew for sure they were canceled.

Also when the season started the first few weeks they thought they were coming back for a third season because ratings were good.

The one and only reason why the show is canceled is because The CW is bullshit and rather have 5 girls watching a show than 5 million guys.

I thought it set up the possibility of a return with a different cast. A girl with her soul sold to the Devil [how CW! girlcentric]. Sock and Ben could be gone if the focus shifts to Andi and Sam.

I was glad to see Gladys one more time.

All in all it was a possible series conclusion with options open if it gets picked up somewhere else. Here's hoping!

And Sock will always be welcome back if his silly kindergarden in Phoenix show doesn't fly.

that's probably the same message they wanted to give the network through that episode... and indirectly to the viewers who didn't flock to keep watching the show. >_<

Oh god, if it became the Sam and Andi romantic hour without Sock and Ben I would so switch it off. Andi is the most boring character on the show by far.

And wouldn't it be grand if she said "How come the sex is better since i lost my soul? Was my soul stopping me from really tapping into what makes sex worthwhile? Wow, this must be what it's liek to be Sock."

She's a good looking woman. As a villain on heroes she was delightful, but honestly Sam and Andi were a pair of gimps who took it the whole way through the story.

Nina and Ben.

Now that relationship was interesting. :)

I'm just so distraught they used the actress who played his mother so infrequently because she was just cripplingly attractive, when she was there at the Zero hour as Sam's soul was sold, and how did she know that her husband was alive and did she do it with the Devil if sam was his son the regular old fashioned way?

There's more to that woman I needed to know about.

But no.

Look, Sam can play quarters at an Olympic level but never ever mentioned it before despite living in a bar practically.

The should have brought back Josie for the finale.

Josie isn't that great, but Original Cindy is, and if just a little original Cindy shone through, that's enough for me. :)

Did the mom even appear in the second season? It was weird how the second season used a completely different set of supporting characters and pretty much ditched all the original ones (though I thought it was an improvement).

I thoroughly enjoyed the finale.

Me too! Sam (and Andi) both have to know that they have a role to play in the big picture and they are not alone. A lot of Sam's attitude came from feeling that he was screwed over and had no say in his circumstances, but now he has to finally have hope that he won't end up in hell if he continues to stick to his values. Honestly, how could the Devil have such a good, nice son?
Ben and Nina can be together (if that's such a good thing, who knows?) since they scammed Ben's grandma and Sock had a close encounter with hypnotoad. Seems like a good to end things.

A bit meh just like the entire show.

It's ok to watch it and an interesting premise but somehow what they made of it wasn't as good as i hoped.

When the support cast is more interesting than your lead then you have a big problem.. Sock was annoying but then he had some moments and i loved Ben/Nina and the Devil was just the best character in the entire show.

As to the finale.. couldn't care less. They obviously haven't given up hope for a 3rd season and so made the finale accordingly.. can't really blame them because hope dies last. It's an interesting development but so far the show failed to gain any momentum.

It starts strong, then falls into the soul of the week type show and picks up towards the end of the show and that just doesn't really cut it today.

Depending on what the new season brings i'll be either sad (if nothing catches my interest) or indifferent (if something good appears). My watch list has grown dangerously thin since some shows have ended like BSG, Scrubs and i've yet to see such supposed good shows like Supernatural (just can't find the time to see 4 seasons).

Maybe someone should watch what they say because there might be some hope still left for the show! You try planning a season finale where you want things to lead up to a third season, but you can get canceled.

Some crazy fan site (yes I'm desperate).

We have received word through several sources that ABC/Disney sent letters to the CW affiliates stating Reaper had been sold to cable, and (most likely) won't be available for purchase.

Nick C. has spent a great deal of the afternoon trying to track down what is going on. Jenny Wade tweeted news today that she had good news, but she also was not getting all the details either. She did add that from her sources it was likely SciFi that got the show.

However, it has since been confirmed that neither SyFy or SpikeTV has purchased the show. In the mean time, ABC is keeping its lips shut. It is looking like an official announcement will be made tomorrow (Today?)as to the fate of Reaper.

As a reminder, absolutely nothing I have written has been confirmed by OFFICIAL sources. So please keep writing in, especially to ABC. When we have official details, please be assured that will be up immediately.

Well I am an idiot and just found out Reaper was cancelled. What sucks more is that they should have done a better ending than that, one where in case they were to get cancelled atleast it wraps some things up.

Well I hope someone picks it up. I want to know what God's plans are for Sam and Andi!
