My first post!:D pretty excited. I have built model kits my entire life( first one being the AMT Enterprise) My question to my fellow ''trekies'' is this. Now that model company ''Round2'' will be releasing the ''AKIRA Class'' in 1:1000 scale next year, I wanted to ask you ''guys and gals'' which 5 ships in 1:1000 scale would you like to see made next? My top 5 are (1 being MOST wanted) 5.Miranda Class. 4.Ka'Tinga Class Klingon Battlecrusier(TMP,TUC,DS9). 3.Defiant Class. 2.Nova Class. 1.(This was a NO-BRAINER for me) Constitution Class Refit. Well that's my top five, so what are you're most wanted Trek kits in this scale!

HI, MiricleFan glad to have you aboard, I don't know the first thing about models, however I did want to welcome you to the Trek BBS Site, hopefully, someone can help you with your question....

I'm not a modeler, nor do I play one on TV. However, my top faves for being made into models, (if I collected them) would be:

Miranda
Nebula
Nova
Intrepid
Excelsior

I assume the Connie refit will be on the way soon.

I'm pretty sure miraclefan meant "first thread", since I've seen him posting the whole time since I've been back on the board, and ya don't get to Captain without posting, either. ;)

I don't know anything about what models are or aren't available, but if I were to look for five, I'd want:

D'Deridex Class
The Negh'Var
The Delta Flyer
U.S.S. Excelsior
and a Cylon Basestar from classic BSG

Welcome aboard! You'll get a better response on the Trek Art forum - that's where we discuss models.

As for my "just 5" 1/1000 wants:

1701-Refit
K'Tinga
1701-D
Reliant
TOS Romulan BoP

As for MORE things I want in 1/1000, well, here's a little page I did up with examples of what I'd do if I had my own model company (Trek division):
http://www.inpayne.com/models/trek-boxes-web/modelcompanytrek.html
DO'H Didn't think about that!:p Stupid me.

Good pick's:D you'll notice I picked the Miranda, and Nova classes as well!

^Hey, Triumphant good to see you! Let me help you here. You see the reason I said 1:1000 scale was because at that ''Size'' the Starfleet ships and (some) of the alien ships are ''perfect'' for display space and playability(Yes I play with my models) you see in 1:1000 scale the Enterprise refit would only be ''12-12 1/2 inches long. The U.S.S. Excelsior you picked for instance would be about 18 inches long! The Delta Flyer however would be ''less'' then an inch long! And the Romulan D'Deridex Class warship would be a ''GOOD'' 6-8 Feet long! And the Galaxy Class would be a respectible 2 1/2-3 feet long!

^Oh and Triumphant, if you ''REALLY'' do want a classic CYLON BASESTAR if you have a ''GREAT'' hobby shop ''or'' Hobby Lobby in your area they ''SHULD'' have the ''BASESTAR'' AMT-Ertl re-released it about a year ago, I see them ''ALL'' the time when I go to Hobby Lobby!

My list (in exact order):
1. Nova-class
2. Prometheus-class (don't care if it splits apart or not)
3. Wells-class
4. Aerie-class (aka "S.S. Raven-class")
5. Nebula-class
:bolian:

This is a good question. Ive been building a long time myself. and i do like the 1000 scale. Of coarse i had allot of fun with the 350 refit. These lil guys make for cheep yet well done lil builds. Working on a bit of a kit bash right now with them. Im going for a bit of a hybrid that was put to gether after a battle from the wreckage of 2 enime ships.

As for which ones id want in 1000.

I know tom (the guy that did all the pl ST kits.)was working on the refit so ill leave that out.

Miranda class.
Galaxy class
nebula class
intrepid class
excelsior class

on a side note id like a 350 scale of the Millennium Falcon so i can dock it with my 350 refit. i just think it would be cool.

^DUDE! NICE SHIPS!:D And Galactic Squirral, the NX-O1 ''IS'' out, they have been making them since 03! allthou they stoped after ENT was canned, but Round2 has put them BACK in to production. there are two sizes. 1:1000 (9-inchs) 1:350( 2 FEET LONG!)

Miraclefan, try not to post so many times in a row. You can use the edit button or multiquote button instead and try and put everything in one or two posts. :)

It's fine, I'm just letting you know. Let other people have posts on the page and all ;)

Galaxy class (NCC-1701-D)
Miranda class (NCC-1864)
Constitution class refit (NCC-1701-A)
D-12 Bird Of Prey
Nebula class

I, for one, have more than enough physical representations of classes like the Miranda, and ships of the line like the 1701, 1701-D, the Klingon Bird of Prey.

They've made multiple versions of models and toys of those ships so many damned times, a moratorium on them needs to be placed.

I'd much prefer ships we rarely ever get a physical representation of.

Akira, Delta Flyer, Steamrunner, Nova, Prometheus, Dominion Battleship (the big one we saw often, not the mega-giant size one from "Valiant") et cetera.

How many 1701-D's can you really want to look at or own? I mean, I have at least 6 different sizes of that ship, bare minimum. Likely more than that. From Micro-machine up to full-scale model. Enough already with the ships we've gotten time and again for years and years. Lets see something new!

^Frontier, I LOVE your avatar!
OT: I had all the TOS models as a teenager so I'm not sure what others I'd like to have.
Mainly:
The NEW Enterprise
A well detailed Klingon D-7 (the originals never had much detail)
TOS Enterprise
TMP Enterprise
TOS Galileo 7

I miss my old models... can ya tell?

Well, there has yet to be an accurate model of the Miranda class, except for Starcraft's little bitty resin one. So I'd be up for a styrene one in 1/1000.

Miranda
sovereign
Nova
Intrepid
Excelsior II

I just built my 1/1400 Enterprise e, just waiting for the paint!
