I spent a good deal of time last night on YouTube watching clips of Matt Smith from various roles of his... and I've gotta say that when I got into the fandom, I was extremely weary about Matt, with David being "my" Doctor.

But after seeing more of him, I've gotta say... I really, really like him. And I just cannot get enough of watching the very last part of the Season Five promo when he says, "Trust me, I'm the Doctor." Something about the quality and tone of his voice with that line just makes me utterly and truly believe what he's saying. He IS the Doctor.

PS: I also find his giggle/laugh to be quite endearing.

PPS: To be on topic... I'd be a Companion, and since the Doctor tends to spend most of his time in the UK when on Earth, I would insist on traveling more in the US and focus mostly on mid-to-late 1880s in the Ozarks and Appalachia.

He was also in Billie Pipers Call Girl show, the best qualification to be the next Doctor, is having worked with Billie Piper?

oh & being ginger, which by my count makes Chris Evans the next Doctor.

I would be another time lord as a companion. But I'm travelling with the Doctor to search for my fob watch.

Maybe I don't even know I'm a Time Lord.

Would be interesting for a season at least.

Quoted for truth, I think he's going to eb good. Of course we'll have to wait and see but there's definite promise in the few bits and bobs we have seen for me.
