Yet another Quiz: Which DS9 character are you?

Seems Im Ezri Dax
You are young and promising but have been given wisdom beyound your years you are still sorting out. You are kind, meek, a good listener and consel others. However you are still building confidance. someday when you realize you are moire then the sum of your parts you are going to change teh universe.

Otherwise fine but Im not as pretty as her...and Im a guy:lol::rolleyes::alienblush:

There were times when I was upset by her attitude - like at the end of "The Darkness and the Light"... But I feel that at times she would use the attitude as a shield so she wouldn't question herself, and maybe face some disturbing thoughts, or admit her vulnerabilities. Like in "Ties of Blood and Water"... we are made to think that she is being unforgiving and prejudiced, but in fact she can't admit that she is scared to watch someone she loves dying.

Indeed. I liked Kira, for the most part, but I think she had some moments like those two where she went over the line.

But "Ties of Blood and Water"--what she said and did to Tekeny during that disgusting temper tantrum...that was seriously one of those where I felt like I was either going to cry, be sick, or throw something. She wasn't just mean there. She was actually trying, in my opinion, to degrade Tekeny. It was pure malice, pure spite.

And all I can say is, if someday I get to her in my fanfic, karma's gonna come a' knockin'. And this time she had better learn when the ghost of Gratitude Festival Past shows up, or else.

(ETA: The idea I'm tinkering with is actually not as malicious as it sounds. Where I want to take her will hurt, but I'm hoping it'll also make her take the final steps in developing into a full, complete, spiritually-balanced individual. She's someone that, in order to learn that she cannot and should not try to control everything in her life, needs the rug yanked out from under her, and hard, now that she thinks she's secure.)
Now you've got me wondering what you have in mind.

But it's not like life has been kind to Kira... At the end of DS9, she got the station but had lost everyone who's ever mattered to her... they are all either dead, or just gone. :(

I did feel that, despite the huge character development of Kira from the pilot to the finale, she still had unresolved issues, and I see room for exploring that further... Do the post-series "Relaunch" book do anything interesting of that kind?

But you're a Dax! You've been both a girl and a guy! ;)

And what matters is that you're going to change teh universe. :rommie:

There was a trial of her faith at one point in the series, yes. That may have helped.

And yes, Kira's taken a lot of hard knocks--but there's a lot of self-certainty there even in the face of all of that. Too much sometimes, I think. I won't spoil what I intend to do beyond this because too much of an explanation would also reveal a plot turn I intend to take, but think of this.

Even in the midst of all of her trials, where nothing seemed to remain constant, what is it that she has always believed that she can count on to do it all on her own without ever admitting anybody else? (And this could even mean unwittingly blocking her faith in the Prophets at times.) What is this constant that, if I took it from her, or did something that substantially reduced her certainty in it even if I did not take it all at once or didn't even take a lot at this current time, might force a re-evaluation of one's life?

Now, the actual answer is going to be twofold, but I'm really only looking for the first part of what I take. You have the clues from my last post, and one other clue: for an example of the nearly arrogant certainty that in my opinion needs to be shaken in order to get her attention to what needs to be fixed, and how she can be spiritually stronger--look to "The Darkness and the Light." There, even when there SHOULD have been some doubt, there was none.

Finally, the answer is NOT the Prophets. That's not what I intend to take. That, instead, is what I intend for her ultimately to gain from.

If you think you've got it, send me a PM.

Comes up as Jadzia:-
"You have wisdom beyond your years and friends to match. You have a casual attitude toward life and enjoy a good party. You lead with your heart and don't always make since. You have passion and pass it on to others."

(Not actually a party type, but hey)

For the actual percentages, 63% for both Ezri and Jadzia, 56% for O'Brien, Quark, Bashir and Worf. 50% for the Siskos, Kira and Odo.

Hmm......

I'm closer to Kira than any of the others listed I think, particularly in issues of trust and loyalty. I'm not the firebrand I used to be, but I do still have a temper. It takes a lot more and a lot longer to get me mad than it used to. However, once I'm there, it's not pretty, and I'm not a forgiving sort.

Apparently, I'm Worf, which confuses me because I don't identify with Worf at all, really. Oh well.

PS: Worf, son of "Mog"

 Thot Mog, what have you been up to?

Someone photoshop Worf in.

"You Scored as Julian Bashire"

I didn't know he was a character in DS9. Besides, it's obviously wrong, I'm plainly Morn.

You Scored as Benjamin Sisco
You are Ben Sisco. You are caring and kind but expect the best. You have lead a life of hardship, but have overcome others expectation to find your own path.

Benjamin Sisco..........75%
Miles O'Brian........... 75%
Kira Nerys..........63%
Julian Bashire..........63%
Worf, Son of Moge..........56%
Ezri Dax..........56%
Jadzia Dax..........56%
Jake Sisco..........50%
Odo..........34%
Quark..........48%

-Rabittooth

Mine had a tie-breaker question at the end. Anyone else have that ?

You Scored as Kira Nerys:
You are strong willed, quick tempered leader who would do anything for what is right. You have done some things you would rather not remember to bring justice. You do not trust easily but are very loyal.

I didn't see that result coming, mainly because while only second to Sisko, Kira was my favorite character on DS9. I still have a lot of admiration for someone like that and strength wise Kira is someone I can only dream about being like. Well anyway, it's at least comforting to know that I could possibily have something in common with that kind of person.
