Year of Hell

An entire YEAR of desperate people scraping every moment onboard ship? I don't think so. I like Year of Hell as it is. Reality can be left to RL. I like my escapism the way it is. I can certainly see the so-called 'reset' button being very attractive to the writers because of all the drama that can be added without having to permanently lose beloved characters. I think it allowed this episode to explore some deeper issues that wouldn't have otherwise been possible. It would have been a mediocre episode otherwise and I'll say 'no thanks' to THAT.

Plus, I think YOH was the writers way of answering all those fans that want to see Voyager beat up & in despair.

one of the bad things with YOH was that it felt like Week of hell watching it.

I bet ifit had been a season we would have gotten a 2 parter just how Janeway manages to get her allies

IMO, if Year of Hell was a whole season long it would have made it more similar to nuBSG...

Then many would be saying: nuBSG ripped off Voy. instead of Voy. should be like nuBSG.

It's an arguement that can never be won.

^^Thanks. :bolian:

However, I think such arguements detract from both shows. I always felt instead of pitting both shows against each other, fans should just accept both for what they each bring to the sci-fi fanbase.

Instead of nuBSG is better than..... or Voy is better than....., can people just like them both? :(

I know I can. :) Voy was so vastly different in tone I don't think you can really compare the two.

No. It's not enough for your show to win: everyone else's shows must also lose. How else are we to show our superior appreciation and taste in everything, everywhere?
