YAY!! Friends' Music Video (happy, upbeat, pop awesomeness)

I didn't hate it as much as I thought I would. It was mostly horrible, but there were some small redeeming features.

Because they make awful music :p

But seriously, I liked some of the basic chord progressions, but hate the blandess of the production and musicianship. And the lyrics were terrible, as far as I can tell it's about some sad little girly regretting not moulding herself perfectly enough to the wishes of some guy. And not in an ironic sense either, they seem genuinely regretful. Sickening.

The performance is fairly uninspired but competent nonetheless, and they obviously enjoy what they are doing which is admittedly slightly infectious.

Is song gonna be featured on One Tree Hill? Sounds like it would or some other CW show.

More like the common feeling among teenagers that everything they say is stupid when talking to their crush. Still a cliche, but less abrasive than the awkward ironic poses of the current teen star products.

I thought it was professionally done and certainly good enough for Top 40.

Are they signed? I am sure their music would be heard on something on the CW.

Certainly, I am not questioning it's competence as a pop song, my criticisms of it make it perfect top 40 fodder

Yep they are signed to Tooth & Nail Records. Although the record label does not normally do that style of music at all.

Are they a christian act? or has tooth and nail branched out??? I think it is fun...music I wouldn't listen to...but I am sure there is a market for it. :bolian:

None of their songs are religious at all, but yes they are Christians (it's how I know them). Although Tooth & Nail definitely has non Christian acts.

Well, that's what Top 40 mostly is: Entertainment. It won't go down in history with Simon & Garfunkel or the Beatles, but it's fun to listen to on the car radio. :D
