If you were a writer on the numerous Star Trek series from TNG onward and someone somewhere told you to develop a story arc about the Xindi across all the series what would your story be about?

Something about how and why the Avians disappeared/vanished...

That's been covered. They were wiped out when the homeworld was destroyed.
I wonder if the sphere builders sat the Xindi up to fight the war that cost them their world and the Avians their lives?

I'd quit.
No. Not quite. They were not sure what happened to them when the home world was destroyed. The rest was left as a mystery. That is a story waiting to happen.
I'd write the stories along the lines of a band of brothers that do not get along, but unite whenever an outsider tries to take advantage of one of them. I could see the Insectoids hooking up with the Romulans and the Reptialians allying with the Klingons, then those alliances falling apart once it meant the Xindi have to fight each other.
I prefer to think they were just naturally against each other until they destroyed their planet. After all, humans do war among themselves without Sphere Builder interferance, so why can't the Xindi?
Maybe an episode about what happened to the Xindi after all these years? I like to believe that they eventually broke down into civil war and a lot of their territories were claimed by the Cardassians, Ferengi, Breen, or Tzenkethi.
So maybe a TNG story about a group of Xindi pissed at humanity for destroying the Spheres? Or a DS9 story about the Xindi battling the Dominion? Or a Voyager story about . . . er, an assimilated Xindi?

Believe it or not, I've been brain-chewing a fanfic idea along those lines for months. Essentially I would have the Xindi having a particularly violent civil war on their newfound homeworld over--of all things--their assosciation with other races. I would have the Reptilians allign with the Gorn, the Insectoids and Arboreals trying to remain independent and unattached, the Aquatics trying to join the Federation, and the Reptillians succumb to a puppet government as vassals/future subjects of the Romulan Empire. Turn this into a civil war where each faction is trying to decide the fate of the others, with the Federation trying to decide how, when, and whether or not to intervene.
After demanding and receiving a raise.
Thing is, we know by the 26th century, they're memebers of the Federation.
