Xindi Saga !!!

Nero's Shadow

Captain
Captain
I,ve just been watching the xindi storyline on enterprise and i was thinking could this storyline worked in any other trek series like TNG DS9 TOS .?

I thought Voyager would be good janeway finding them in the delta quadrant as they prepare to destroy earth, that would be a good storyline to get voyager home .

What do u think would it or won,t it work?

The Xindi storyline was generic enough that you could easily transplant it into any other Trek series with no change whatsoever.

Mind you, in the others it might me a bit harder to explain why Starfleet only sent one ship to the Expanse, but otherwise it would work.

That would be the hardest to do on DS9, especially considering that DS9 had its own story arc in the last seasons. That would also mean no Quark, Garak, Leeta, Rom, Dukat and the other non-Starfleet characters since they would have to use the Defiant (well, at least Garak could be there in some way, perhaps he was the only one who knew anything about the Xindi or the weapon?). The Xindi arc wouldn't even work well in that series. But a O'Brien must suffer- episode would be easy to do, just turn Similitude into one.

On the other series, it would be quite easy to do since they take place on a starship and are episodic.

Well, with Voyager it would have to be in the final year, have it end with the good Xindi providing them with a way home.

Of course, with the television storytelling conventions of the day there is no way it ever would have been done on TOS or TNG.

I can't see it on DS9 without a major and IMO detrimental shift in the series' premise.

A TNG-VOY crossover might have been an interesting approach, with the TNG folks handling things until it was determined that the Xindi originated in the DQ, then passing things over to the VOY folks.

Could any of the other series have dropped what they were doing half way through to have a bland story about generic space aliens intent on destroying the Earth for poorly defined reasons? Yes.

Would they have been so unimaginative? No. Except maybe Voyager.
