XI...When do you go?

So when you go the movies, and big event like this one, at what point during the film do you go?

Me??? I'm getting older, so I try to hit the restroom before I go to the concession stand, then after I find my seat I go once more just to be "safe." And I avoid the "large" size sodas both so that I don't have to miss an important scene and also because at movie theater prices anything more than a "small" requires a bank loan these days.

Usually before, and almost always after. And I'm getting to the point where I don't get drinks before going in. I'm getting tired of spending the last third of a movie wondering why the protagonist doesn't stop in the men's room.

When I go to the cinema I never buy food or drink, I go to the toilet just beforehand and then just watch the film all the way though without moving, eating or drinking.

I go right before the previews start rolling. And right when the end credits start rolling. F.Y.I. I dont even get drinks anymore, just to make sure I don't go during the movie.

Ditto.

You gotta go twice before the movie starts.

No meeting for beers beforehand either. Thats a killer. I've fallen foul to that in the past. If you have to go during the movie, you have to time these things for just after a large action beat. You usually have a two minute window before a plot point.

For Trek XI, I'm probably not going to drink for 24 hours beforehand.

You know, I'm going to be a fucking nightmare on the day. I was a pain in the arse when Nemesis came out. Made everyone get to the theatre over an hour early...

Always before. I never need to go during a film, Benjamin Button was a close call though.

It always seems that I never have to go before a movie starts. As I absolutely refuse to leave the theater in the middle of a film I compensate by never eating or drinking anything. On those rare occasions where I have to go during the film I will hold it until the bitter end.
