Xbox 360 questions

For everyone of those story there is stories of having no problem. Personally my 1st 360 broke after 2 n half years and 10 days after I sent mine away from England to Germany I got a brand new 360 that runs twice as good as my other one...Had that about 9 months.

Exactly.
I've had my first Xbox since October '06 and My Elite since March '08 and neither one has had a problem.
I will say the '06 now is at my GF's house and doesn't get played that much but my Elite is on pretty much every day after I come home from work till I go to bed and most of the weekend.

It will arrive on Wednesday and I can't wait!! I'm not too worried about it failing. The RROD is covered for 3 years and I'm still thinking the PS3 will be my primary gaming system. During the week I typically only play about 2-3 hours a day, at most. Weekends I play a bit more but that will be divided between two consoles now.

Save your money. I got mine two years ago and it just quit on me. I work with a guy who has had 5 within the last two years. He bought the latest one with the problem supposedly fixed, and it lasted him 6 months.

Yeah I find your account a bit fishy to say the least. Nobody I know has had trouble getting theirs replaced.

Then again most people I know have enough of a moral compass to not sell-on a unit they know is broken.

Ordered Fallout 3 too. I was always intrigued by this game and didn't have a PS3 when it first came out. From what I saw on You Tube, the game reminded me a bit of Borderlands which I really enjoyed.

Glad to see you got one with a HDD, best option all round.

Oh you will enjoy Mass Effect and Gears of war, if possible try to play Gears in coop, its 100 times much more enjoyable.

Oh and always install and play the games for the HDD, its the quietest and safest way to use your 360.

One exception to that rule - Halo 3. Don't install it, it will make the load times worse.

Great game. Definitely get the Broken Steel DLC. It expands the game past the ending, and raises the level cap making it practically essential. The rest of the DLC is all pretty worthwhile, too (Point Lookout probably being the best of the rest.)

:D

Got the Xbox and all the games today, except Dark Sector which should be here later this week. I've already installed Fallout 3 and am in the process of installing Mass Effect w/bonus disc as I type this. The GUI seems more detailed then the PS3, which I like. The console itself is also sleeker and more compact then I expected. Only downside is I've already used 20 GB space.

Can't wait for work to end so I can get to playing!
