^ I really enjoyed Resident Evil 5 but thats because I ADORE co-op play but I will admit it needed to be a lot longer and less linear...

Fight Night Round 4 now that was a disappointment.

I thought it was a little disapointing compared to Resident Evil 4 but still a very good game.

Glad to see House of the Dead Overkill get some props, it's easily one of the best games released this year.

Wolverine's a pretty damned good game when they aren't trying to be clever with the annoying No Powers Splinter Cell section, the god awful, bugged to hell Sentinel boss fight and the final boss.

When it's simple hack and slash fighting, it's great stuff.

Wow Wolverine has a stealth section? What makes developers think including a stealth level in non stealth games is a good idea? I don't like stealth games and I don't want them in my games.

I will admit I am kind of looking forward to Batman Arkham Asylum, but then again it seems like the stealth in that game is mostly used to attack enemies, so that might be okay.

Other then that I've tried Metal Gear and Splinter Cell and I don't enjoy their stealth gameplay.

During the escape from Alkali Lake you encounter a scientist who tells you that Stryker injected you with a compound that would destroy your powers if you turned against him - yes Stryker had a "cure" for mutancy but we'll leave that particular moment of idiocy. The compound is activated so you lose your regenerative healing and your feral senses (the game's way of guiding you around). This means that if you get hit you die. You have to get to the scientist's office so she can undo the damage. This involves lots of frustrating sneaking around and using controls to move conveniently placed shields in front of gun turrets.

Yes, I've seen the videos - it's proper Batman style combat following the old Batman mantra - if he has time to prepare Batman can beat anybody. You can, for instance, cause an explosion which will draw the bad guys over to one part of a room while you descend from the rafters and pick off one of the stragglers. It's designed to let you combine fear, distraction and surprise to win. And if that fails, well, you're still the goddamned Batman.

I've pre-ordered it, it looks great, despite Eidos' questionable review embargo policies.

Me neither.

I haven't played any of the games on the list, only the Demos for Wolverine and RE5, but I do intend to pick up RE5 and Batman in the fall.

I'm getting the PS3 version for the Joker. Of course, this game turn out to be one big suckfest.

I'm not digging that list of theirs. For starters I'd take out Killzone and place Resident Evil 5 in there instead. I would also take out Fight Night and put in Devil Survivor

The only one of those games I've played is Dawn of War 2, and I personally found that pretty disapointing compared to the original. I felt they changed up the game way too much and I didn't really like the changes that much.

I might give it another chance once the big update hits.

I found it jarring at first too, but it grew on me. I blasted through the campaign in coop with a friend and then tried out skirmish online, which doesn't differ from the original THAT much. Also, the new update has gone live ... should you choose to accept it.

Resident Evil 5 was disappointing? Fight Night Round 4 was one of the best? This list is suspect at best.

As far as I'm concerned, DoW2 was pretty brilliant. My perspective is a bit skewed though... I didn't play DoW1 until after I played CoH and didn't like it as much and DoW2 is very similar to CoH in how it handles units. So I'm very happy with it.

I played a few games (only against AI) with the beta patch and the whole thing felt really solid in terms of balance. They've since pulled the beta off though so I'm looking forward to them releasing it so I can get back into playing online again (not much point in relearning strategies if they're just going to change again in a few weeks!)

no Plants vs Zombies? in my opinion it's the best game of the year so far.
And how! I still need to go back and finish it...
