X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (Casting, Rumors, Pics till release)

^ There was hate? LOL. I can't remember my response now. I think I was just disappointed that Alice Eve had dropped out.

Maybe not so much here, but I remember some really nasty things being tossed around on SHH and other talkback sites mainly by fanboys were were upset that she wasn't "big" enough or she was too skinny, or that she was "obviously" a terrible actress (while refusing to acknowledge her work on Mad Men).

^ That's unfortunate but expected these days. If anything I believe I was neutral at first at the choice because I wasn't really familiar with her work. I don't watch "Mad Men" so I'd not seen her in anything. I think she looks terrific as Emma though.

I still think you can put Wolverine in the film without having him be in the 60's.
You just start the film with him being told by somebody(maybe Beast) of how the X-Men started and have it segue into the past.

....or have him find Xavier's journals and start reading them segue into Xaviers voice.(flashback)

Personally, I'd absolutely hate either of those options. Just let the movie tell itself.

^Agreed. I'd be kinda pissed if that were the case. IMO it would show very little faith in the movie on Fox's part if they felt they had to do something like that to sell it.
As for January Jones as Emma Frost, I was actually pretty happy with the choice. I really liked her when I watched Mad Men, and I thought she was a pretty good match for Emma. All of the X-Men comics I've read where after her and Cyclops got together so I actually know the character, and I don't see any reason why January Jones wouldn't be able be to pull it off, and IMO she's fairly close to how she looks in the comics too.

Are they really still filming things in London? I don't do twitter but people are talking about a tweet posted by an actor saying he is doing reshoots on X-Men and Fassbender is apparently doing night shoots for Prometheus.

How can this be?

I'll have to find the linky

Simultaneous shoots for actors happen, not sure how often but I do know that Robert Downey Jr while he was still attached to "Gravity" was going to film all of his "Gravity" scenes first before moving onto "Sherlock Holmes 2".

@KB24 I'm debating about changing my Anne Hathaway/Catwoman avatar to either Fassbender as Mags or Jan Jones as Emma Frost pretty soon.

.

I seem to recall that Michael Sheen redubbed some of his dialogue for FROST/NIXON while filming RISE OF THE LYCANS . . . or maybe it was vise versa?

It's not going to happen, so I wouldn't worry about it.;)

Admiral I made some older Fassbender avatars if you're interested. There's lots of graphics at Michael Fassbender Online, too.

I don't know of any JJ websites though.

I agree its not uncommon for an actor to be doing double shoots, but what could he possibly still be doing reshooting for X-Men so late in the game? And can you imagine the inner geek at going from X-Men by day to Prometheus by night? :)

I've read of some films where reshoots (often just very small dialogue or talking head tweaks, usually in basic studio or against greenscreen) taking place way into editing. But I guess if June release is cutting it a bit tight :)

Here's a link to a pretty cool fan-made mock opening credits for this movie. I'd love to see something like this in the actual film itself:

graphics and moves are period perfect, but the music's meh...
