Did it seem like there were a few too many clips from the other X films?

I only counted 3 maybe 4 clips. They're just used as a set up and remind people that this is going to be a prequel, which I'm fine with.
The visual template looks very much in line with Singer's. I was hoping for something with a more stylized and colorful '60s pop art sensibility. It still looks promising, though.

So... 1962? It's actually set earlier than the publication of the first X-Men comic, and presumably about forty to fifty years before the first X-Men movie. Interesting; I think that late sixties had been the expected timeframe. This, however, means that characters like Professor X and the Beast were really getting on a bit by the 21st century.

Absolutely loved it. This looks like it'll be the best X-Men film since X2.
Too right. The Wolverine focus was the main reason I didn't truly enjoy the original trilogy.
Looks pretty good. Plus it has James McAvoy and Rose Byrne. So there's no way in hell I'll miss it on the big screen.

I think this movie looks great. It's probably my 2nd most anticipated summer movie this year after Cowboys & Aliens.
I don't know. Something still just isn't clicking with me. I'm not dismissing it, but I'm not dripping with the excitement that I should be.

Oh, I figured it was that Pixie character I've occasionally heard of.
Now that I look up Angel Salvadore on Wikipedia, I realize I've read the story where she was introduced. I'd forgotten her completely, though.
