X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (Casting, Rumors, Pics till release)

Fox isn't pushing the film under the rug...it's taking it's time with how it's decided to market it. Fans should be appreciate this after the fiasco that was Wolverine.

If what Matthew Vaughn has said recently is any indication, they're still shooting the damned thing, which is pretty insane.

^^^
Aren't those just minor re-shoots and some pickups though? That's not really abnormal. Principal photography is done and most post work is in progress.

Not according to Latino review...

The movie is still shooting in LA while Vaughn is somewhere else editing.

They're shooting at the Culver City Studios for the next couple of weeks. The official story is that they're just shooting pick ups but the reality is...

...that hot mess of a film has not been coming together. Vaughn and company ran from location to location but never got the right stuff, or stuff that worked. That's what's happening right now - while he's cutting the film somebody else is shooting literally six weeks - almost a whole film - worth of stuff.

If true, this does NOT bode well...

First Class is still in principal photography...an interview last week in the local paper with James McAvoy revealed they will be wrapping up in two weeks. I really don't understand people's impatience with this production. A typical production shoot is four to six months. This is exactly around the time First Class has been shooting. There have been no delays or anything like that. McAvoy said things on set have been great and everyone has been enjoying themselves. We'll get a trailer when we get a trailer.

6 Weeks is almost a whole movie's worth of filming? Since when? That implies a movie is typically filmed in less than 2 1/2 months? I can't recall anything fast tracked that filmed in less than 4?

Matthew Vaughn likes to have fast shoots. I think I remember reading somewhere that "Kick-Ass" was completed in under four months.

I'm a little skeptical of a Facebook based viral campaign, but excited, naturally. Again, the Fassbender forum is freezing up so I can't get in to see all the links to the articles reposting and reposting the hype.

So no one is on here talking about this yet?

I completely forgot!

Ok just watched and all I can say is that I will definitely be there opening weekend!

With Marvel VS Capcom 3 coming out on tues and then this movie, Thor and Captain America I think I am going to OD. For the short amount of time Vaughn had to pull this off I think he very well did. I think I'm actually more excited for this than Thor and Captain America, just based off the cut of the trailer alone. Now let's see how the movie turns out.

Happy Happy Joy Joy! Looks so sweet! I have to dissect further, but I'm glad the trailer seems to emphasize the drama and story and history and saves the usual superhero effects for last.

Yay! Must rewatch and find something insightful to say!

I might just behave now Admiral!

What I like is that it looks like it falls under the same look and feel of Singers other 2 Xmen movies, except set in the 60's, for obvious reasons of course.
