I wish we had something like that here in Nashville.
However, I did have to talk down 3 mid-20somethings during THOR cause they didn't seem to realize I hadn't paid for their commentary track.
Awesome! Did you do it the George Costanza way?
I should know what the Costanza way is but I don't recall. I'm sure Elaine was involved.
I turned and said, "Do you plan to comment every few minutes about what is happening?" He looks to his right and left at his buddies and says, "Probably so" and snickers. Then the other two snickered it was pathetic really. So I told him, "I'll probably have to go the manager and see what he thinks of your commentary". He drew a tight face and they all shut up for the rest of the movie.
After the post credit scene one of the ladies I was with told them to stop being assholes. All I heard was the end. I asked her if they said something to her on the way out. She said they tried to get puffy and literally seemed to be waiting on us just to get in a "last word". The ring leader apparently said something like, "Just who does he think he is, acting like he's the boss". Cue the "stop being assholes" remark by my lady friend. Had to give her a big hug for that!
Laugh when it's funny, Gasp when your startled, Elbow your friend and the "easter egg" and so forth. Do not act like it's your living room, it's not. My take on it at least.
