X-MEN: Days Of Future Past (Casting, Rumors, Pics till release)

I hope it is Singer. Although Mathew Vaughn did prove that we can in fact get good X-Men movies directed by people other than Singer, so if they go with someone else I won't be totally heartbroken.

First Class was as much a Bryan Singer movie as it was a Matthew Vaughn movie; Vaughn just happened to be in the director's chair.

Incidentally, if Singer does step in to direct DofP, he and Vaughn will have flip-flopped roles from FC.

Well...if Vaughn continues to remain with the project in any capacity, but yeah I think fans still forget that Singer came up with the story for First Class and it was first green lit because of that and he almost directed it as well.

^ Vaughn will retain producer credit on DofP as well as story credit regardless of who directs, so, even if Singer doesn't step in, he and Vaughn will have story and producer credits, meaning that their 'fingerprints' will still be all over the film.

That's a shame, I really enjoy Vaughn's work.

They should get the guy that did Tron: Legacy to replace him.

Joe Koskinski is currently filming the science fiction film "Oblivion" with Tom Cruise right now so he's not available (he directed Tron: Legacy), and will most likely be returning to direct the sequel to Legacy whenever that is finally green lit.

He really seems like the only option right now acceptable to fans. I'm sure there would be other suitable candidates but Singer right now seems the most logical as well, given his intimate connection to the franchise and his position creatively with this current storyline.

This is pretty much The Hobbit and Peter Jackson situation all over again.

NOOOOOOOO! Nothing but
Star Wars news must break today, lest we risk causing a chain reaction that might unravel the very fabric of the space-time continuum and destroy the entire universe! :p

I just made a joke on FB that the next news will be a BTTF IV directed by Zemeckis staring Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd!

At least we'll get a decent sequel. Just have to cross that treacherous "third movie" and we've got a potential awesome trilogy.
