X-MEN: Days Of Future Past (Casting, Rumors, Pics till release)

Three lord of the rings movies, which are technically "hobbit" movies.

A prequel to lord of the Rings "the Hobbit" is coming out momentarily.

Making a total of four hobbit movies.

Not sure if this adds any credibility to the "two Magneto's claim" or not but James Mangold hints that Wolverine could tie into DoFP?

Cryptic answer:
Asked on Twitter how The Wolverine fitted into the timeline, director James Mangold (pictured top with Jackman) rather cryptically suggested the story spanned many periods, tweeting: "I can't answer you now nor could I answer before, but after everything is over I can answer, and that, in itself may be an answer."

The pics in the link beg the question that if the text on those are correct it wouldn't make sense in a period piece Wolverine film at this time along the films main mutant timeline.

I think you've omitted the link.

Edit - you included it when you posted in the Wolverine thread

^^^^
Thanks for the heads up. I was trying to post that before heading to a meeting. Stupid work getting in the way of the internet.

That link was really just for the newest spy photo set pics on The Wolverine.

I've gone back in and edited my post to include the link to the quote I provided that may be relevant to XM: DoFP.

I imagine he's probably referring to Days of Future Past, which is awesome. The prospect of having Stewart, possibly McKellen, Fassbender and McAvoy all in the same movie together is an incredible notion.

^^^
Not only do I suspect that's right but it also serves a few external purposes imo.
A) Touchstone to the original trilogy which has been quite since 2006.
B) That touchstone is none other than Stewarts Prof X, hell yeah!!
C) The various aftermarket ways to repackage and sell DVD sets.

I'm trusting the actual story idea itself is valid and will WOW us of course but I think Stewart also has to be alluding to DoFP.

I would be happy if they used time travel in the next movie to undo everything that happened in X-Men: The Last Stand. REALLY happy in fact. :p

But if they undo it that means not ignoring it and it'll be de-facto included to those wishing it never occurred, right?

I'm putting in another vote for DoFP. It would be kinda weird at this point if they included older versions of Prof. X, and Magneto, and didn't have them played by Stewart and McKellen.

Have people seen this?

Patrick Stewart hints at X-Men return

Hmm...
If it does happen I'd imagine it'll be in Days of FP, the future segments, as opposed to an out and out X-Men 4

I hate to rain on everyone's parade and I'd love to see Stewart appear. But I've seen this story reported widely and not one of those reporting it seems to have been present for the quote. Nor is there any video evidence, so far as I've seen.

This is not a dig at Ethros, as I say, I've seen it reported all over the net. But is it definitely legit?

Admiral Young kept hounding me for five days after I started this topic about the movie title until the title was finally confirmed by Singer.

I don't think people should get too worked up about rumors that might turn out to be real news. There isn't much news right now, so anything that gets people talking is a good thing.

If they haven't already, FOX could hire Patrick Stewart if they hear about the good reactions from the fans! :p

^Don't get me wrong - I'd love for this to be true and it's only natural that we're all excited by the possibility. But none of the reports I've read seem to be first-hand or even to have seen or heard a recording of it - everyone seems to be assuming that it's true that he said it, without checking for verification. Just like, e.g., the story that Keanu Reeves had attended a lecture in London and confirmed a fourth Matrix movie.
