They are paying him an awful lot of money for doing not very much. I suppose Hogan's association with the company has been enough to raise interest in TNA, but in the long term it's a real possibility that TNA will spend more on Hogan than they make from him.
TNA must be paying Hogan at least $1 million downside, furthermore he's pretty much in charge of his own schedule (just like the creative control clause in WCW) and TNA probably flies him first class and puts him up in luxury hotels. TNA can't exactly make any DVD's about Hogan because WWE owns almost every single piece of footage related to Hogan outside of TNA.
The guy doesn't wrestle, he doesn't appear regulary and he isn't involved in any major storylines... What exactly does he do?
