He's not gonna take the title from Henry. He might be one of the first Money in the Bank Winners to fail taking the title away from the champion. They're having another three hour show? Fail. Simply not interested in what is going on right now.

Here's an interesting speculation piece on when R-Truth returns I am assuming at the end of next month when his suspension ends. The rumours seem like they're going to turn him face which I think would be a mistake. He was boring and irrelevant as a face.

I really don't think that ROH would shell out $100,000+ per annum for the pleasure of putting up with Melina. Asides from her extravagant demands, ROH doesn't book full time female talent and very rarely features womens matches on any of its cards.
She would get more money in TNA and I think that Morrison will follow her wherever she goes.
Yet she still hasn't signed yet in TNA. Maybe she doesn't want to continue wrestling like Maryse. I don't really know why I'm talking about this. I don't really care.
Maybe she's holding out for more money? Or perhaps she already has signed and it hasn't been announced because TNA are waiting to sign Morrison before debuting them together. Since TNA is a privately traded company, it doesn't have to announce it's acquisitions - making it much easier for them to keep secrets at the business end.

TNA will probably give Melina $100k and several opportunities to feature in promotional stuff for the company. Morrison will get more, but he'll be promised a spot at the top of the X Division (initially) or a full main event push from the onset. This is how TNA works with ex-WWE talent, especially those that have worked in the WWE main event.
Kurt Angle was offered something like $800k, first class travel expenses and a push straight to the top to sign with TNA back in 2006. Upon accepting, he debuted and immediately ended Samoa Joe's near two year undefeated streak. He was a permanent main event fixture throughout 2007 where he captured the IGF third belt, the TNA World Heavyweight, X-Division and Tag Team Championships (including holding them all at the same time). Furthermore, Angle was allowed to wrestle big money exhibition events for IGF and NJPW and TNA have actively supported him with his Angle Foods business ventures and his latest plans to compete at the 2012 Olympics. I doubt WWE would ever have given him these opportunities had he re-signed with the company.

Morrison is hardly Angle though. Kurt was extremely accomplished when he joined TNA while Morrison is unrealized potential so far. To be fair, he's won titles in WWE but not the ones he was expected to win. Again I dunno why I keep bringing it up.

Ok, how about this. When Bobby Lashley signed with TNA in 2009, he was afforded more or less the same perks as Angle. Lashley got slightly less money but he was allowed to continue his MMA career, conduct outside business ventures and he was given an immediate push where he didn't lost any straightforward singles matches.
Lashley was a 2-time ECW and 1 time United States Champion in WWE, Morrison's success in WWE arguably rivals that of Lashley's.

Why are we comparing Morrison to others in TNA when he hasn't signed there yet? I'm quite aware of how former WWE stars have gotten star treatment in TNA when they've signed.

Of course, but I fully expect Morrison to sign with TNA and I'm arguing against what other posters have proposed about Morrison going elsewhere.
There is still the (very small) possibility that WWE might re-sign Morrison. It has happened before, when contracts have expired and wrestlers have left the company only to return within their 90 day no-compete clause to WWE.
I think just myself and Jetfire mentioned ROH because they realistically are the third alternative. I don't think either of us said he would sign with them but perhaps entertain that notion. It's not always about cash for these guys but also to do with exposure and how best to enhance their career profile. TNA is a wrestling fan's automatic response but it might not always be the actual wrestlers.
Yeah, I agree with TNA being a fan's automatic response, but realistically - it's the best option that Morrison has. I don't think he'd do well in Japan given his high flying based style. I mean sure, he might fit in with the Junior Heavyweight division but 80% of that division far exceed Morrison in wrestling ability.
Speaking of Kurt Angle earlier, it's actually quite impressive what he has accomplished in his 12 year pro wrestling career...

If Kurt Angle were to win the TNA "Grand Slam" (win the TV Title to complete the set) and if he were to return to WWE and win the Royal Rumble, he'd arguably be the most decorated American professional wrestler of all time.
I'd like Kurt to return to WWE but find that highly unlikely. He's got a nice comfortable role in TNA as long as people stop slamming him on his neck.
Yeah, his deal with TNA is pretty exclusive - even for somebody of his calibre!
I think Kurt needs to seriously think about retiring, now more than ever. He's in his 40's now and you mentioned his neck, despite the fact that Kurt maintains that his neck is good to go. The truth is that he's just as much at risk (if not more) of spinal stenosis as Edge is. The symptoms of early stenosis have already started for Edge and by retiring he has ensured that he won't end up wheelchair bound. The trouble with Kurt is that he continues to work a high risk style and this naturally leads to cringeworthy moments when he takes ridiculous bumps.
I don't think he's going to make the Olympic team, I don't think it's possible that a man in his 40's with an accumulation of neck injuries has any chance getting a spot over an injury-free guy who is 20 years younger. Yes, Kurt has been in the Olympics before and yes, he won the gold medal in the freestyle wrestling competitions - but that was nearly 16 years ago and it's comparable to Lennox Lewis stepping back into the boxing ring to challenge Wladimir Klitschko.
This is over a year old but still amusing. So far Hogan has proved Punk was right, but Punk really wasn't saying anything no one already didn't know either.
