wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

That usually turns out to be the case. A face Orton is an uninteresting Orton. Something I've stated many times before. It's almost like he doesn't know how to be a face lol. The Viper character doesn't work as a face anyway.

Where Orton as a heel is concerned, as long as his heel character doesn't resemble the character he played in 2009 then I'm happy. That character bored the hell out of me, particulary when Orton was champion because he'd do everything slowly and spend the entire match alternating between stomps and rest holds!

^ You're of course describing the Viper character...which he still plays now, just less bastardly as he did when he was a heel. It was all part of the hearing voices and being "Crazzzzzyyyyyy" gimmick. Like I said it doesn't work as a face character.

...He really seems to be the active Chris Jericho right now, in the sense of when things go bad go to Chris, only it's Randy.

I seem to recall that Jericho came to resent the perception of him being "A Hell of a Hand" or the "Go to Guy" in late '04 as it didn't doing anything for him in the way of a push; (iirc) it was a contributing factor to his leaving the biz in the summer of '05.

So I guess they're ignoring the Brock Lesner imploding ring match? John L needs to stop introducing himself with his title...I Know it is a tactic for getting heat but it is a lame tactic and it isn't getting him heat...it's getting him annoyance.

The first Muppets skit was actually suprisingly funny! I couldn't have agreed more with Santino coming out since he never fails to bring slapstick to the fray. Santino calling the Raw GM - "John Laryngitis" cracked me up.

@Admiral Young: They can acknowledge Brock Lesnar because of his working agreement with the company, but they are obviously trying to get the angle over for Henry and Show and are wary about mentioning it happened before. It's quite common in wrestling for them to invoke the "7 year rule", which basically means that it's ok to redo stuff as long as it happened at least 7 years ago.

^ Gotcha. I was a little pissed off about that...I think you first brought it up after Vengeance.

Ooooh the Muppets skit was awesome. I agree.

Yeah, Jerry Lawler said something like "I think something happened with Brock Lesnar a few years back" during Vengeance. That's all they've admitted, even WWE.com has kept quiet about it.

Okay. I'm seriously marking out to all of this Muppet stuff!!! I really have no time or interest for Brocius Clay. Meh.

What old Muppets? I have to agree with you about the DIVAS costumes and that battle royal was insipid.

Punk is awesome...and did he just nod at the dude wearing the nWo t-shirt? :)

Dolph Ziggler holds the distinction of being the only former World Heavyweight Champion not to have actually won the title. I wish they'd stop referring to him as a former WHC because it's just a reminder of a piss poor storyline. It might have got over had Edge not immediately regained it!

Dolph is an extremely underrated wrestler, his selling in particular is phenomenal! The obvious comparison that people make is with Curt Hennig. It's more than just coincidence that Dolph's theme is entitled "I am perfection". If WWE sees a new wrestler who displays traits similar to the greats of the past, they will use that as a selling point for them.

It's like Triple H always being compared to the likes of Harley Race and Greg Valentine, he wrestles a style influenced by them whilst utilising an in-ring psychology consistent with that of their era.

Really? I've read many comparisons to Sid. Not Mr. Perfect, although now that you do say that I do see some similarities I suppose. He is basically a repackaged Sid. I wish they would give him an active push. Not really a fan I guess.

Kermit got bagged! I actually thought that The Muppets stuff would be terrible, but it's actually been some welcome comic relief for the normally humourless WWE. Michael Cole's nonsense relating to Jim Ross is typical for WWE, they've been obsessed with toilet humour ever since JR had colon surgery a few years back. It's extremely distasteful, but people backstage find it funny even if the rest of us don't so I guess it'll continue - poor JR, even though I don't know him personally no one can deny the amount of work he's put into that company over the years.

I had a cool idea earlier on about turning Hornswoggle heel. If done the right way it could really draw, but they would have to treat him seriously. I'm thinking they could align him with Alberto Del Rio and have him start talking and wearing a suit. Make it out as if if Del Rio has put him on his payroll and encouraged him to stop being a source of humour - in return for helping him in matches.

Hornswoggle could be vicious - he could emerge from under the ring with some kind of weapon and attack the opponents arm with it to allow Del Rio the easy armbar victory.

Oh and Cena's jorts have got shorter - they are now cargo shorts. I'm still waiting for Cena to ditch the impractical wrestling attire for tights or trunks. If he ever turns heel, he can do a Jericho/Miz with his attire choices.

Vince gets a kick out of that stuff. Remember there was that report he thought Michael Cole's anal bleeding line regarding Jerry Lawler was hilarious.

Yeah,

It's actually quite hilarious when you hear reports that Vince is obsessed with presenting a high-brow product and image, yet he gets off to typically low-brow stuff like toilet humour.

^ Indeed. Partly why no one still takes the product seriously. That type of humour is fine in doses but they just overwhelm you with it and it's not funny. It's awkward.

I love the "Let's Go Cena...C M PUNK!" chant. It makes me laugh each time.

Was thinking about how they are dealing with the Kevin Nash angle currently. So let's review boys and girls. Last week Triple H confronts John L who comes down to the ring and demands that he give Nash a contract he can't refuse so he can beat the living hell out of him. What happens? Nash appears and uses a sledge hammer to beat down Triple H who does some bad selling. Triple H gets himself written out of the storyline for "Five weeks" according to Cole. Hmmm that would put his return just around Survivor Series. Last night they reveal on wwe.com in a horrible segment where Jerry Lawler botches the script a couple of times that John L has "resigned" Nash. A week later when Trips is out of commission. Sigh

I just don't understand what they are doing. I don't even think they know what they are doing. This continues to be poorly executed and continues to just go every where. If they are not careful (fuck that they have already dropped the ball so whatever) this could turn into a TNA type mess.
